StumbleSierra Health releases first quarter earnings

Las Vegas-based Sierra Health Services Inc. said Tuesday it earned $15 million or 52 cents per share in the first quarter, which includes a loss of $406,000 from discontinued operations. That compares to a profit of $7.4 million or 26 cents in the year-ago quarter, which included a profit of $239,000 from the discontinued operations.
