Rebels sweep Air Force, improve record to 32-11

The 21st-ranked UNLV baseball team earned a season sweep (6-0) against host Air Force with a 19-12 victory in the second game of a doubleheader Sunday in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The Rebels improve to 32-11, 15-3 in Mountain West Conference play. The Falcons slipped to 11-26 and 0-17.
Jake Vose (6-3) picked up the win for the Rebels. He gave up four runs off 10 hits in five innings of work. He also stuck out seven and walked none.
Patrick Dobson went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Fernando Valenzuela finished the game 3-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Eddie Gill went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and one run scored and Peter White finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs and four runs scored.
