Guitar music
Clark County and the Guitar Society of Las Vegas present Richard Smith, Nashville-based recording artist (guitar), and cellist Julie Adams, Richard's wife, in a tribute to Chet Atkins at 7 p.m. Monday at Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. Nextet concert
UNLV will host the university ensemble Nextet, featuring conductor Virko Baley with music by Paul Seitz and Jing Jing Luo at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Beam Music Center. Admission is free. 895-3332.

Theater
'Separate Rooms'
The UNLV Theatre Department presents the Sarett Playwright Award winner "Separate Rooms" at 8 p.m., through Saturday with a 2 p.m. performance on Sunday at the Black Box Theatre. Admission is $7. 895-3662.
Musical
"The Sound of Music" will be performed at 7:30 p.m., through April 26 and at 2 p.m. Saturday and April 26 at the Summerlin Library and Performing Arts Center, 1771 Inner Circle. Admission is $12-$20. 878-7529.
10-minute plays
UNLV Theatre Department presents "Ten Minute Play Festival" at 8 p.m., Wednesday through April 26, and 2 p.m. April 27 at Alta Ham Fine Arts Building. Admission is $3. 895-2787.
Audition
