RENO, Nev. AP) - Kim Gervasoni, the top assistant coach at Arizona State the past three seasons, has been named the women's head basketball coach at the University of Nevada, Reno.
Gervasoni's appointment was announced on Friday.
She succeeds Ada Gee, who stepped down last month after going 119-162 over 10 seasons, including this year's 10-19 mark and 10th place finish (3 (15)- in the Western Athletic Conference.
In her three years in Tempe, Gervasoni helped take the Sun Devils from the bottom half of the PAC-10 to back-to-back league titles and three straight postseason appearances, including two consecutive NCAA bids.
Before moving to Arizona State, she was head coach at Solano Community College in California for eight years. Prior to that, she was an assistant at California's DeAnza College and at Logan High School in Union City, Calif.
