CARSON CITY -- Senior Deputy Attorney General Randal Munn has been named chief of the Reno regional office of the state attorney general, it was announced Wednesday.
Munn succeeds Kevin Higgins, who was appointed by the Sparks City Council this week to the $108,305 a year job as justice of the peace.
Munn, 48, has been with the attorney general's office for nine years and served briefly as deputy administrator of the state's Medicaid program.
He currently acts as counsel for human resources agencies, a job he will retain in addition to supervising the 30-member staff in Reno.
Higgins served with the attorney general's office for 16 years. The Munn appointment was announced by Attorney General Brian Sandoval.
