Vote set on model aircraft field
The Boulder City Council is expected to vote next week on whether to let a nonprofit group build and operate a radio-controlled model aircraft field on 3.4 acres of city-owned property near the city landfill.
The proposal was introduced during the Tuesday council meeting and set for a vote on April 22.
Under the proposal, the Boulder City Eldorado Valley Flyers would get a five-year lease for the property. The group would not pay rent so long as it builds, maintains and supervises the field.

Clark County Commissioner Bruce Woodbury may get his own post office.
The Boulder City Council on Tuesday unanimously supported naming the post office at 1101 Colorado St. the Bruce Woodbury Post Office Building.
The city resolution will go to the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives as a recommendation Congress make the change.
The Boulder City resolution noted Woodbury's 21 years on the county board, and his support for the Las Vegas Beltway.
