An argument at a car parked on East Bonanza Road near Sandhill Road triggered a shooting that left one man dead late Thursday, Metro Police said.
The incident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. and may have been gang-related, police said. The call came into dispatch as a possible robbery or attempted carjacking.
Three men approached the car in which three men were sitting, police said. An argument ensued and one of the men outside the car pulled a gun and fired into the vehicle, striking the driver, police said.
One of the car's passengers jumped from the vehicle and ran from the scene. The car drove off and crashed into a wall after traveling a couple of blocks, police said.
The driver, whose name, age and town of residence, were not immediately released, died at the scene.
The gunman remains at large. Few suspect details were available.
Homicide detectives are investigating the incident, police said.
