Metro Police office evacuated
Friday, April 11, 2003 | 11:14 a.m.
An unusual odor in the Metro Police administration building today led to the evacuation of about 100 employees and others.
The building at Sixth and Fremont streets, where casino workers receive their sheriff's work cards, was evacuated around 10 a.m. today, fire department spokesman Tim Szymanski said.
Firefighters did not find a source of any odor, and let people back in to the building. But firefighters were called back and the building was re-evacuated a half-hour later.
The event was still being investigated late this morning.
