Reading

Dinner, auction
The 12th annual "Chefs for Kids Dinner and Auction" will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Four Seasons Hotel. The program works to eliminate malnutrition and hunger through education and awareness. Admission is $150. The event is optional black tie. 257-5516.
Mardi Gras
A Mardi Gras Vegas-style celebration will begin at 3 p.m. today and continue through weekend at the Fremont Street Experience. There will be parades, entertainment, food and drink. Admission is free. 678-5777.
