BRIAN FULLER

School: Chaparral

Class: Junior

Sport: Volleyball

Last week: The Cowboys once again appear to be among the top contenders for the boys' volleyball title, and Fuller is helping to lead the way. In a showdown with powerful Bonanza, Fuller recorded 12 kills, seven blocks and 12 digs to pace the Cowboys to a five-game victory. Fuller also turned in a standout 11-kill, four-block performance to help Chaparral earn a three-game win against division rival Las Vegas. Chaparral also defeated Eldorado last week.

THERESA LIEDLICH

School: Bishop Gorman

Class: Senior

Sport: Softball

Last week: One player cannot enjoy a much better week than the one Liedlich recently did. Against Cheyenne, the Gaels senior pitcher tossed a no-hitter and struck out 15 Desert Shields. In addition, Liedlich went 4-for-4 and drove in two runs to lead the Gaels to a 5-2 victory. Two days later against Clark, Liedlich turned in another gem, allowing just one Chargers hit and walking none while again striking out 15 en route to a 6-0 Gorman triumph.
