Mae Eunice Abdoulah

Mae Eunice Abdoulah, 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Cleveland. She was born Nov. 15, 1936, in Regina, Saskatchewan. A resident for 11 years, she was a CMA for the Red Cross.

She is survived by one brother, Phil Abdoulah of Phoenix; and two sisters, Mickie Razek of Cleveland and JoAnne Nikolou of Regina.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Gerald E. Black

Gerald E. Black, 70, of Las Vegas and Port Angeles, Wash., died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 13, 1932, in Spokane, Wash. A part-time resident for five years, he retired as a mechanical engineer from the aluminum industry and was a Korean War Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Cecil; two daughters, Margaret Trainor of Orinda, Calif., and Susan Stromvall of Peachtree City, Ga.; one brother, Lawson Black of Bremerton, Wash.; one sister, Barbara Smith of Spokane; and three grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Bobby 'Chunk' Blackwell

Bobby "Chunk" Blackwell, 29, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Pine Valley, Utah. He was born Sept. 16, 1973, in Las Vegas. He was a painter and a member of Painters Local 159.

He is survived by his wife, Shannon; one son, Cody Blackwell, one daughter, Katie Blackwell, one stepson, Cameron Causey, his mother and stepfather, Jacquelyn and Grady Tidwell, five brothers, Walt Kanski, Tommy Kanski, Danny Blackwell, Charlie Blackwell and Ralph Steeger, and four sisters, Rosie Steeger, Tammy Blackwell, Roro Steeger and Peanut Steeger, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until noon services Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Raymond Max Downs

Raymond Max Downs, 59, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 7, 1943, in Midland, Texas. A resident for seven years, he was a coach operator for ATC Vancom of Nevada and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Marian; two sons, James Downs of Monterey Park, Calif., and Robert Clowdus of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; two daughters, Luci Cummings of Stevenson, Ore., and Rozella Cooper of Las Vegas; two brothers, Marshall Downs of Hesperia, Calif., and Roger Downs of West Covina, Calif., eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Oscar Dalton Easterly Jr.

Oscar Dalton Easterly Jr., 44, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 31, 1958, in Harlingen, Texas. A resident for 17 years, he was a driver, a Marine Corps veteran and a member of Beachhead.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; one daughter, Moana Easterly, and two sons, John Easterly and Curtis Easterly, all of Las Vegas; his father, Oscar Easterly Sr. of Austin, Texas; two brothers, Arnold Easterly of Pensacola, Fla., and Warren Easterly of Pittsburg, Calif.; and two sisters, Alice Arthur and Dorothy Gentry, both of Phoenix.

A memorial service will be 12:40 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Sixto Limon Ellorin

Sixto Limon Ellorin, 64, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 6, 1938, in the Philippines. A resident for two months, he was an airport carpenter.

He is survived by two sons, Joel Ellorin and Sixto Ellorin Jr., both of Washington state; two daughters, Marichu Ellorin of Washington and Channel M. Ellorin of California; one brother, Salito Ellorin of Las Vegas; one sister, Erlinda Vintayen of Washington; and three grandchildren.

Burial will be in California. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, is handling arrangements.

Ronnie E. Ferguson

Ronnie E. Ferguson, 49, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Jan. 23, 1954, in Kansas City, Kan. A resident for 10 years, he was a grocery clerk and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mona; and one son, Lino Whipple.

Joseph Edward Grady

Joseph Edward Grady, 62, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born June 10, 1940, in New York. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired policeman from Yonkers, N.Y., and a member of the Professional Bowlers Association.

He is survived by his companion, Sharon; two sons, John of Miami and William of Hopewell Junction, N.Y.; two brothers, Robert Grady of Riverdale, N.Y., and Dennis Grady of Danbury, Conn.; and one grandchild.

Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Jeff Houston Headrick

Jeff Houston Headrick, 60, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A laborer in the construction industry and a longtime member of the Genealogy Society, he was born April 9, 1942, in Tennessee.

He is survived by one sister, Frances Thomas of Tennessee.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Tennessee. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Ruben Valentine Hernandez Sr.

Ruben Valentine Hernandez Sr., 54, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 14, 1949, in Alhambra, Calif. A resident for 3 1/2 years, he was a mail carrier and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Michele J.; two sons, Ruben V. Hernandez Jr. and Daniel Hernandez, both of Monrovia, Calif.; three brothers, Ralph Hernandez, Marshall Hernandez and Frank Hernandez, all of California; four sisters, Mary Duggan, Lydia Hernandez and Veronica Cavanaugh, all of California, and Magdalena Alaniz of New Mexico; and 11 grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 820 N. H St. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Zanko Iliev

Zanko Iliev, 58, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 29, 1944, in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. A resident for 28 years, he was a retired taxi driver.

He is survived by his wife, Sonja; his mother, Anastassia Iliev, and one brother, Dimitri Iliev, both of Plovidiv.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Robert B. Justice

Robert B. Justice, 66, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born July 27, 1936, in Mason City, Wash. A resident for 16 years, he retired as director of maintenance for an airline.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon A.; three sons, Jeffrey Justice of Carson City, Michael Justice of Charlotte, N.C., and Steven Justice of Pittsburgh; one sister, Karen Halvorson of Wenatchee, Wash.; one brother, Tim Justice of Camano Island, Wash.; one half-brother; one half-sister; two stepsisters; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Robert 'Christopher' Lyons

Robert "Christopher" Lyons, 46, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 12, 1957, in Memphis, Tenn. A resident for 3 1/2 years, he was a hotel investigator, a Navy veteran and recipient of three Bronze Stars.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa; three sons, Thomas Roberts of Horn Lake, Miss., and Jonathon Roberts and Chris Roberts, both of North Las Vegas; his father, Robert Patrick Lyons of of Memphis; one sister, Cindy Erwin of Olive Branch, Miss.; his grandmother, Hazel Lyons of Memphis; and two grandchildren.

Dallas Jean Moore

Dallas Jean Moore, 16 months, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 9, 2001, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her parents, Cathy and Joshua Moore, and one brother, Riley Moore, all of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Lawrence Chavez of Los Lunas, N.M., Lorraine Fuentes of Las Vegas, Pete and Linda Moore of Safford, Ariz., and Richard and Frances Fuentes of Albuquerque.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. A private burial will follow.

Herbert Nelson

Herbert Nelson, 59, of Las Vegas died March 4 in Las Vegas. He was born June 1, 1943, in Las Vegas.

Janet Ainslie Raney

Janet Ainslie Raney, 55, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 23, 1948, in Colorado. A resident for 35 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne; one son, Nathan; two brothers, David Allen and Bob Marino; and two sisters, Judy Marino and Kae Allen.

A memorial service will be 2:30-4:30 p.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Bobby Rodgers, 23, of Las Vegas died April 2 in Colorado. A resident for 20 years, he was born Aug. 5, 1979, in California.

He is survived by his father, Bobby Rodgers Sr.; and his mother, Donna Knight.

Cora Marie Smitley, 55, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Westminster, Colo. A resident for 20 years, she was born Dec. 2, 1947, in North Dakota.

She is survived by one son, Vincent Joseph Smitley; one daughter, Wendy Ann Martinez; four brothers, Ronald Vivier, Louie Vivier, Raymond Vivier and Mark Vivier; six sisters, Geraldine Wilson, Louella Burcham, Joyce Vivier, Shirley Wolfe, Donna Price and Carol James; and five grandchildren.

JoAnn Spence, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 11, 1933, in Meadville, Mo. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired saleswoman.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Jo Blanke of Warsaw, Mo., Marlena Lay Burns of Overland Park, Kan., and Brenda Fitzsimmons of Broken Arrow, Okla.; one son, Bryan K. Spence of Lawrence, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mary 'Rowena' Warner

Mary "Rowena" Warner, 96, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born June 8, 1906, in Owosso, Mich. A resident for 56 years, she was a retired credit union treasurer.

She is survived by one son, Jack White of Las Vegas; one stepson, David Warner of Los Angeles; one stepdaughter, Eleanor Robison of Henderson; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Helen Williams, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born June 30, 1924, in Lincoln, Neb. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Gordon; and one daughter, Connie Williams of Seattle.

Genedick C. Wilson, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born June 30, 1919, in Fort Sill, Okla. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Verne; two sons, Jeffrey Wilson of New Zealand and Andrew Wilson of Las Vegas; two daughters, Genevieve Wilson of Derby, Conn., and Anne Mehaffey of Saratoga, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
