Suspect arrested in sex case
Metro Police have arrested 45-year-old Kenneth Friedman in connection with a series of sex-related crimes, but detectives are asking the public's help in locating other victims in a two-month crime spree.
Kenneth Friedman is awaiting trial on one count of aggravated stalking, four counts of indecent exposure and seven counts of open and gross lewdness.
Police said victims received a phone call during January and February from a man using a woman's voice who said he was "Paula" from "neighborhood watch."
He would then give a detailed account of a sex offender in the area, police said. After the calls, victims often saw a man lurking outside, exposing himself.
Anyone with information relating to these crimes is urged to call Metro's sexual assault detail at 229-3421 or CrimeStoppers at 385-5555.
Cooler weather is expected
Enjoy the warm, spring-like sunshine and mild temperatures through Friday because after that Southern Nevada's weather is expected to change, forecasters at the National Weather Service said.
While temperatures will warm into the mid- to upper 80s through Friday, a cold storm system is forming over the Gulf of Alaska that will plunge south through California Saturday and Sunday, bringing a chance of rain on Sunday, meteorologist Jon Adair said.
Along with the cooler temperatures, expect clouds and windier conditions during the weekend, he said.
