Baseball
Green Valley 7, Silverado 1: Jordan Parraz homered, doubled, and drove in four runs and the Gators scored six runs in the sixth inning to earn the win. Taylor Morris tossed a complete game, allowing three hits and striking out four.
Basic 15, Foothill 5 (6 inn.): The Wolves scored seven runs in the sixth inning to end the game. Austin Fisher homered and drove in three runs for Basic, and Ivan Marquez tripled, doubled, scored four runs, and drove in three runs as well.
Softball
Cimarron-Memorial 7, Cheyenne 1: Kim Adams led the way for the Spartans, striking out 13 and also homering at the plate. Adams held a perfect game into the sixth inning.
Palo Verde 11, Blaine (Wash.) 0: Savannah Miele went 3-for-3 with five RBIs as the Panthers rolled. Lindsey Callaway allowed one hit and struck out six to earn the win.
Basic 7, Foothill 4: Sara Thomas had three hits and scored two runs to pace the Wolves to the win. For Foothill, Brittany Brady went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
