John Bellomo

John Bellomo, 86, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A resident for 20 years, he was born Feb. 19, 1917, in War, W.Va.

He is survived by two daughters, Darlene Esser of Las Vegas and Rosalee Tow of Amarillo, Texas; three sons, Gregory Bellomo of Tucson, John Bellomo Jr. of Las Vegas and Anthony Bellomo of Pahrump; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Doris Elaine Bray

Doris Elaine Bray, 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born March 13, 1940, in Carroll County, Md. A resident for 22 years, she was a retired department manager in the retail industry.

She is survived by her husband, Lou; four sons, Kermit Pridemore II of Centennial, Colo., Darrell Pridemore of Elizabeth, Colo., Vincent Pridemore of Castle Rock, Colo., and Dwight Pridemore of Denver; one daughter, Cynthia Roth of North Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

The family suggests donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, Bethesda, MD 20014.

Charles Homer Brinker

Charles Homer Brinker, 87, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born April 28, 1915, in Graham Station, W.Va. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired master carpenter, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Carpenters Local 1780.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; two sons, Wilson Brinker of Las Vegas and Michael Brinker of Melba, Idaho; two daughters, Abby Pearson and Tanya Gray, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Frances Gibbs of Hartford, W.Va., and Anna Faye Roush of New Haven, W.Va.; one brother, Roy Brinker of New Haven; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Fred Thomas Dakake

Fred Thomas Dakake, 83, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. A truck driver for Johnson Motor Lines and a Navy veteran, he was born Dec. 7, 1919, in Central Falls, R.I.

He is survived by two sons, Fred Dakake Jr. and James Dakake, both of Henderson; and two daughters, Debra Hadulik of Henderson and Diane Bosland of Haledon, N.J.

Burial will be in New Jersey. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Frederic Clark Greer

Frederic Clark Greer, 62, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 5, 1940, in Daytona Beach, Fla. A resident for four years, he was a manager for a maintenance company, a former service master for the U.S. Postal Service and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Angela Fox of Maryland and Pamela Greer Penn of Tennessee; and one sister, Frieda J. Greer of Albuquerque.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. A private burial will follow.

Guadalupe Guerrero

Guadalupe Guerrero, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 5, 1930, in Sonora, Mexico. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Guadalupe Hernandez and Rosa Guerrero, both of Las Vegas; five sons, Leonardo Guerrero of Wasco, Calif., Carlos Guerrero, Horacio Guerrero and Aaron Guerrero, all of Las Vegas, and Jesus Guerrero of Mexico; one sister, Artemiza Vallin of Los Angeles; one brother, Alejandro Valle of Sonora; 30 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way.

Robert E. Lee, 82, of Las Vegas died March 6 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 19, 1920.

Gary Patrick McBride, 46, of Las Vegas died March 5 in Las Vegas. He was born July 14, 1956.

Bruce McClure

Bruce McClure, 52, of Las Vegas died Feb. 25 in a local hospital. He was born May 4, 1950, in West Virginia.

He is survived by a host of close friends.

David Louis McSwain Jr., M.D.

David Louis McSwain Jr., M.D., 74, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born May 22, 1928, in Detroit. A resident for 10 years, he was a physician for 43 years, 10 of which were in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two sons; two daughters; one brother; one sister; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Charles Ross Jr.

Charles Ross Jr., 43, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born April 12, 1959, in Shreveport, La. A resident for 24 years, he was a hotel supervisor.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; four sons, Michael Ross, Larry Ross, Jeremy Ross and Trevor Ross, all of Las Vegas; his parents, Euealee and JC Thomas, and one brother, Edward Ross, all of Ringgold, La.; and four sisters, Shirley Hill of Utah and Maryann Thomas, Lessie Thomas and Linda Faye Thomas, all of Ringgold.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Additional visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Friday in Word of Life Christian Center, 3520 N. Buffalo Drive. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Nona L. 'Vickie' Sholes

Nona L. "Vickie" Sholes, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 22, 1923, in Hannibal, Mo. A resident for 60 years, she was a gift shop manager and a member of Nevada Lariettes.

She is survived by two daughters, Maribah Bushell and Winda Sholes, both of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Hilda Sillman

Hilda Sillman, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born March 26, 1921, in Canton, Ohio. A resident for 42 years, she was a homemaker, a member of the Desert Inn Country Club Women's Golf Association and Sunrise Hospital Women's Auxiliary.

She is survived by one daughter, Lynn Wegner of Teton Village, Wyo.; and one son, Michael Sillman of San Clemente, Calif.

Burial will be in Buffalo, N.Y. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

John A. Stivers

John A. Stivers, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 7, 1923, in Midway, Okla. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired school maintenance director, a World War II Marine Corps veteran, a member of the Association of Survivors World War II Parachute Units, Disabled American Veterans Commanders Club and a 32nd degree Mason.

He is survived by one son, George J. Sipla of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; four daughters, Dana A. Davis of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Susan L. Jackson, Sally E. Davis and Nancy G. Fullmer, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Ross B. Stivers of Howe, Okla.; and seven grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11:20 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Roger A. Virgilio

Roger A. Virgilio, 53, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born June 24, 1949, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired casino pit boss and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Marie; one daughter, Kim Virgilio, and one son, Tony Williams, both of Las Vegas; and one sister, Diane McNall of Lockport, N.Y.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until a 6 p.m. rosary Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Earl Walker Jr.

Earl Walker Jr., 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 2, 1926, in Moody, Texas. A resident for 47 years, he retired after 20 years from the Sands as a dealer and was a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; one son, Danny Earl Walker of Las Vegas; one daughter, Judy Wootton of Henderson; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Henry Kermit Weissler

Henry Kermit Weissler, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 29, 1924, in New York City. A resident for 10 years, he was a plumber and pipe fitter in New York and worked eight years at the World Trade Center and was a member of Pipe Fitters Local 1 in New York.

He is survived by one daughter, Joan Vasquez of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Preston C. 'Whitey' White Sr.

Preston C. "Whitey" White Sr., 71, of Boulder City died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 3, 1931, in Charleston, W.Va. A resident for 13 years, he was a Navy veteran of 20 years and a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Fleet Reserve Club.

He is survived by three daughters, Teresa Faulkner of Boulder City, Juanita White of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Leslie Krause of Akron, Ohio; two sons, Preston C. White Jr. and Loren White, both of Somerset, Pa.; one brother; three sisters; 20 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Jerry Willoughby, 69, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 16, 1934, in Milwaukee. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired machinist and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; two daughters, Lynn Marko of Redlands, Calif., and Patti Elsner of Blythe, Calif.; one son, Jim Willoughby of Tujunga, Calif.; one sister, Dorothy Gries of North Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Genedick C. Wilson

Genedick C. Wilson, 83, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born June 30, 1919, in Fort Sill, Okla. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Verne; two sons, Jeffrey Wilson of New Zealand and Andrew Wilson of Las Vegas; two daughters, Genevieve Wilson of Derby, Conn., and Anne Mehaffey of Saratoga, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
