NDOT gets permanent director

CARSON CITY -- The state Transportation Board this morning appointed Jeff Fontaine as permanent director of the Transportation Department, which is in charge of hundreds of millions of dollars of road construction.
Fontaine, deputy director of the agency, has been acting director for several months.
His predecessor, Tom Stephens announced his retirement several months ago.
The board is headed by Gov. Kenny Guinn.
