Two men pleaded guilty Thursday to murder charges stemming from the shooting of a North Las Vegas man in November.
Luis Antonio Cueto-Reyes and Carlos Olgen entered guilty pleas in connection with the Nov. 26 shooting that left David Zapato Martinez dead.
Martinez's body was later found outside a home in the 3100 block of Diana Drive. While prosecutors believe that Cueto-Reyes was the shooter, they still are not clear on the relationship between the three men, Deputy District Attorney Stacy Kollins said.
Cueto-Reyes and Olgen told police that Martinez had been harassing a female friend of theirs, Special Public Defender Gloria Navarro said.
Cueto-Reyes, 38, pleaded guilty to single second-degree murder while Olgen, 28, pleaded guilty to one count of voluntary manslaughter. Both pleas came as the result of a plea agreement.
The men are being held at the Clark County Detention Center. Bail is set at $200,000 each.
In exchange for the guilty pleas Kollins dropped the murder with a deadly weapon charges against the men. They faced a life sentence without parole if convicted.
Cueto-Reyes now could get 25 years in prison or a life sentence with parole possible after 10 years. Olgen is eligible for a four- to 10-year prison sentence.
The men are scheduled to be sentenced May 15 before District Judge John McGroarty.
