6th Race (Santa Anita Derby) -- ATSWHATIMTALKNBOUT -- Just missed while closing runner-up in last, promising son of A.P. Indy won 2 of 3 previous career starts, Flores Derby mount. MINISTERS WILD CAT -- Wide runner up in Northern California stakes in last, won prior pair with ease, Espinoza now on Drysdale trainee, adds blinkers. Value Play -- LOGICIAN
7th Race -- ICE PRINCE -- British-bred draws challenging post for turf mile, just missed with close second in last, Pedroza stays on Cassidy trainee. PACIFIC COLONY -- Returns to races in this spot, P. Val now aboard Baffert trainee, has a victory over this course. Value Play -- HURRICANE MEGAN
8th Race -- SUNSET PLACE -- Returns to races with solid worktab, in the quinella in all five lifetime starts with a pair of victories, four of those starts over this track. FONZ'S -- Another who returns to races here, winless last year, but, in the quinella in all four starts in 2001 with a pair of wins, runs well fresh. Value Play -- COMMANDER'S FLAG
9th Race -- DITCH DIGGER -- Argentine bred has 4 wins from 5 starts this year with a pair of wins from last trio of starts down this hill course, tough cookie again.
