51s open PCL season by defeating Salt Lake

Calvin Murray went 3-for-4 with two RBI singles as the Las Vegas 51s rallied to defeat the Salt Lake Stingers 8-4 in the season opener for both teams Thursday night in front of a crowd of 4,722 at Cashman Field.

Las Vegas' Bubba Crosby was also 3-for-4, with an RBI triple in the seventh inning, and Eric Riggs had two RBIs, including a run-scoring double in the fifth.

Murray, the designated hitter, collected one of his two RBIs in the fifth inning when the 51s scored three times to take a 3-2 lead. After the Stingers tied the game 3-3, Las Vegas scored three more runs in the bottom of the sixth to put the game away.
