Valley of Fire hosts wildflower trip

Spring Mountain Ranch and Valley of Fire state parks will co-sponsor a wildflower excursion at 1 p.m. Saturday at Valley of Fire State Park.

Also, the event Spinning & Weaving will be offered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Oldtime methods of making yarn and clothing will be demonstrated in period costume.

The Jewish Genealogy Society

of Southern Nevada will present a beginner's genealogy workshop entitled How to Plant a Family Tree from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Temple Beth Sholom, 10700 Havenwood Lane. Call 363-8230.
