Address set for Graham's daughter
Ruth Graham-McIntyre, the daughter of the Rev. Billy Graham, will speak at the Women's Resource Medical Center's 17th annual Shareholders in Life banquet Friday.
Graham-McIntyre will address the group immediately after a silent auction and reception at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the Rio's Pavilion Convention Center. Tickets are $25.

New fire station to hold open house
The Las Vegas Fire Department will have an open house and dedication of new Station 45 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the station, 3821 N. Fort Apache Road.
The $2.7 million station, staffed by two fire engines and a fire rescue ambulance, started operation Feb. 26. Ten firefighters will be on duty each shift.
Some of the fire department's new equipment will be on display during the open house.
Culture Shock will 'Take It to the Street'
Culture Shock Las Vegas presents its fifth annual song and dance production "Takin' It to the Street" at 7 p.m. Saturday at Palo Verde High School, 333 Pavilion Center Drive.
The show will feature a variety of dance medleys and character monologues/skits that focus on today's pop culture.

Skydivers to jump for Shadetree shelter
Las Vegas Gravity Zone Skydiving and local women skydivers will sponsor a benefit for the Shadetree shelter for women and children Saturday and Sunday at the Jean Airport.
Called Women Jumping for Women, the charity drive will run from 9 a.m. until sunset each day. The public is invited to watch the event and is encouraged to make a cash donation or bring a food item or cleaning product.
Prize drawings will take place each afternoon and food and beverages will be available.
A highlight of the program will be an attempt to break the state record for a 10-way skydiving formation.

Norm Schilling, a certified arborist,
will give tips on how to care for drought tolerant landscapes and give people the opportunity to ask questions about their landscape at 9 a.m. Saturday at the North Las Vegas Desert Demonstration Garden, 2200 Civic Center Drive. For more information, call Tony Taylor at 633-1175.
The Boys and Girls Club of Henderson
will hold its 24th annual auction at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Henderson Convention Center, 220 S. Water St. The event will include dinner, a silent auction, drawings and live entertainment. Call 565-6568.
