Shelby T. Baird
Shelby T. Baird, 14, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A resident for two years, he was born Jan. 3, 1989, in Fort Worth, Texas.
He is survived by his parents, Chuck and Patti Baird, and two sisters, Jamie Kinkead and Jessie Baird, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, John and Linda Kinkead of Nocona, Texas, and Sue Williams of Petrolia, Texas.
Burial will be in Texas. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling private family arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Candlelighters for Childhood Cancer, 3201 S. Maryland Parkway, Suite. 512, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
Alfred Borzello
Alfred Borzello, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born July 12, 1917, in New Haven, Conn. A resident 22 years, he was a retired machinist and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Pat Borzello of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services followed in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 6000 S. Eastern Ave., Suite 9C, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Richard S. Burns
Richard S. Burns, 56, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 12, 1946, in Albany, N.Y. A resident for 33 years, he was a retired truck driver, a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of the Teamsters Union.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; two daughters, Lisa Anderson and Barbara Conant, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Robert Burns of Albany; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be private.
Andrew P. Cariello
Andrew P. Cariello, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 10, 1916, in Newark, N.J. A resident for four years, he was a retired ice cream factory worker and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Beverly Marascio of Las Vegas; one sister, Philomenia Vella of Nutley, N.J.; and one grandchild.
Mass will be celebrated at a later date. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Barbara Louise Carter
Barbara Louise Carter, 59, of Las Vegas died March 24 in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 16, 1944, in New Jersey. A resident for two years, she was a Postal Service supervisor.
She is survived by three sons, Kenny Downey and Rodney Downey, both of New Jersey, and Andrew Carter of Las Vegas; one daughter, Alexandria Carter of Las Vegas; two brothers, Clyde Washington and Clarence Washington, both of New Jersey; two sisters, Lily Williams of Las Vegas and Catherine Washington of New Jersey; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is private. Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Rita Shirley Casey
Rita Shirley Casey, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born April 27, 1934, in Lowell, Mass. A resident for 13 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Bernard T.; two daughters, Karen O'Neill of Lawrence, Mass., and Kathleen Casey of Las Vegas; one brother, Daniel Cuddy of Dracut, Mass.; and one sister, Mary Zurawski of Tewksbury, Mass.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be private.
Julius Castillo
Julius Castillo, 89, of Pahrump died Thursday in a California veterans hospital. He was born Jan. 28, 1914, in Texas. A resident for 10 years, he was a carpenter, a Coast Guard veteran, a member of Carpenters Local 630, Knights of Columbus and American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lenore in 1993.
He is survived by one daughter, Alice Castillo, and one son, Henry Castillo, both of California.
A rosary will be be recited at 7 p.m. today in Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road. Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Pahrump. Burial will follow in Chief Tecopa Cemetery.
Elizabeth N. Crawford
Elizabeth N. Crawford, 73, of Henderson died Saturday in a local health care center. She was born April 22, 1929, in Detroit. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired secretary for a railroad company.
She is survived by her husband, Rex; one son, Robert Day of Henderson; and one brother, Harvey Moore of Gainesville, Fla.

Georgia Fehring, 104, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born July 30, 1898, in Terry, Mont. A resident for 28 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, James Potter of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Fulton A. Furr
Fulton A. Furr, 93, of Boulder City died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born July 18, 1909, in Moore County, N.C. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired welder for a shipbuilder.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie W.; one daughter, Iris F. Kellis of Boulder City; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Entombment will follow in Palm Mausoleum.
Allie Henning
Allie Henning, 57, of Las Vegas died March 22 in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 19, 1945, in Carrabelle, Fla. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, George; three sons, Ted Henning, Charles Henning and Maurice Henning, and one daughter, Christina Henning, all of San Diego; three sisters, Joyce Dyer, Millie Bagwell and Geraldine O'Sullivan, all of Carrabelle; and one grandchild.

Marguerite M. Jones
Marguerite M. Jones, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 15, 1914, in Teru, Ind. A resident for 58 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Cathy West of Las Vegas; one son, Robert Jones of Moapa; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Thomas Krzyzak Sr.
Thomas Krzyzak Sr., 55, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born May 14, 1947, in Detroit. A resident for six years, he was a maintenance engineer for a condominium complex and a Vietnam War Army veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas Krzyzak Jr. of Livonia, Mich., and Matthew Krzyzak of Milford, Mich.; his mother, Veronica Krzyzak, and one sister, Loretta Tripp, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Theodore Krzyzak of Sterling Heights, Mich.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled until 6 p.m. services today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave.
Juan Maciel
Juan Maciel, 83, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born March 30, 1919, in Mexico. A resident for five years, he was a laborer.
He is survived by his wife, Maria of Cypress, Calif.; four sons, George Maciel and Juan Maciel, both of California, Ignacio Maciel of Nevada and Bill Maciel of Oklahoma; three daughters, Lourdes Castrellon of California, Alma Maciel of Nevada and Hilda Samano; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled two hours prior to a 1 p.m. service Thursday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson.
Tom Manderson
Tom Manderson, 61, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born July 8, 1941, in Seattle. A resident for seven years, he was a salesman in the food industry.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; two daughters, Cari Murawski and Audrey Rangel; his parents, George and Zoe Grogan; one sister, Mary Dunning; and seven grandchildren.

Margaret Jane Manning
Margaret Jane Manning, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A resident for three years, she was born Nov. 22, 1924, in Moundville, Mo.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Collins of Las Vegas and Judy Rose of Castle Rock, Colo.; two sisters, Betty Jo Bartlett of Ventura, Calif., and Helen B. Eubank of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Franz Mayer
Franz Mayer, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born May 11, 1925, in Bad Reichenhall, Germany. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired cook.
He is survived by his wife, Anna; and one son, Ken Mayer of Las Vegas.
A memorial service was scheduled Monday at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
LaVonne Nelson
LaVonne Nelson, 84, of Las Vegas died March 19 in a local care center. She was born Sept. 13, 1918, in Oakley, Kan. A resident for 20 years, she was a clerk at Montgomery Ward.
She is survived by her husband, Willis; two sons, Jon Forberg and Gary Forberg; two daughters, Caroline Meador and Sherry DeFlorentis; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Bette Davis O'Donnell, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 12, 1917, in Columbus, Ohio. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia O'Donnell McNevin of Las Vegas; and one sister-in-law, Patricia Khan of San Diego.

Jeffrey E. Pearce, 39, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 8, 1964, in Wichita, Kan. A resident for 30 years, he was a computer technician and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Rebekah; one son, Devon Pearce of North Las Vegas; his mother and stepfather, Sandra and Le Kasting of Henderson; his stepmother, Leni Pearce of Las Vegas; one stepsister, Nancy Haas of Yuma, Ariz.; and one stepbrother, George Kasting of Norfolk, Va.

He is survived by his father, Samuel A. Riccio Sr. of Henderson; one sister, Diane Pittman of Las Vegas; and two stepbrothers, Danny Ogden of Tennessee and Mickey Ogden of California.

Maria Jesus Torres, 78, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 28, 1925, in Romita Guanajuato, Mexico. A resident for 66 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Perfecto F.; two daughters, Alicia Torres-Kelly of North Las Vegas and Anna Sabbath of Las Vegas; three sons, Carlos Torres, Anthony Torres and Juan Ramon Torres, and three sisters, Mary Lou Bernier, Rosa Martinez and Consuelo Roybal, all of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Florence Weinstein, 90, of Henderson died Monday in a local care center. She was born July 22, 1912, in Chicago. A resident for 22 years, she was a retired state government secretary, a member of the Congregation Ner Tamid Sisterhood and B'nai B'rith Women.
She is survived by one son, Burton Weinstein of Las Vegas; one daughter, Natalie Shaw, and one sister, Ida Aberman, both of Henderson; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 4 p.m. Thursday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.
Crystal Lyn Whitaker
Crystal Lyn Whitaker, 26, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 19, 1976, in Driggs, Idaho. A resident for 19 years, she was an office manager for USF Worldwide, an air freight company.
She is survived by her husband, Christopher; her parents, Brent Fullmer and Teresa Neyman, and one brother, Wyatt Fullmer, all of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Earl and Ruby Fullmer and Jack Hatch, all of Tetonia, Idaho, John Kneuman of Hollywood, Calif., Ela-Mae Rule of Rupert, Idaho, and Dick Beeson of Burley, Idaho.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.
