A vehicle containing a 17-month-old boy was stolen Monday night from a driveway of a home near Arroyo Grande Boulevard and Sunset Road, Henderson Police said.
The baby's mother, who lives in the 1700 block of Toltec Circle, pulled her cream-colored 1994 Isuzu Rodeo into her driveway shortly before 9 p.m. and went inside for a moment. She went back outside to get her baby and saw her vehicle pulling away.
Officers found the vehicle about five minutes later a few blocks away near the intersection of Mayan Drive and Bluffs Road, police said. The baby was unharmed, and the vehicle was undamaged.
Officers and police dogs searched the area for the suspect, but no one was found. The investigation is ongoing.
Henderson Police urge citizens not to leave keys in their vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 565-8933 or Secret Witness at 385-5555.
