Hwanhee Lee, the top player for the UNLV women's golf team, inked her name into another spot in the school record book after she carded the year-old program's first sub-par score Thursday at the Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque.
Lee shot a 71, equaling the total posted by teammate Erin Borcherts in the final round of last season's Mountain West Conference Championship. Borcherts turned the trick at the par-71 Meadows Course at Sunriver Resort .
The Rebels are ninth in the 19-team field, 11 strokes behind first-round leader New Mexico. The second of the three-round tournament was scheduled for toDay.
