Stella K. Begin
Stella K. Begin, 84, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 7, 1918, in Lawrence, Mass. A resident for eight years, she was a retired solderer in the communications industry.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Whittaker of Henderson; one sister, Jenny Danusis of Warwick, R.I.; seven grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Anna Dell'Aira
Anna Dell'Aira, 72, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 21, 1930, in Queens, N.Y. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired defense contractor.
She is survived by two daughters, Adrienne Cappezza of Las Vegas and Tara Pierzchala of Oakland, N.J.; one brother, Carmine Dell'Aira of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 2-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Helen M. Downey
Helen M. Downey, 80, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 31, 1922, in Athens, Ill. A resident for 50 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Helen Scheffler of Henderson; two sons, Bill Downey of Las Vegas and John Downey of Henderson; three sisters, Millie Vigil of Ontario, Calif., Mary Mears of Tulsa, Okla., and Peggy Watts of Spokane, Wash.; two brothers, John Daley and Jerry Daley, both of Springfield, Ill.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled two hours prior to an 11 a.m. service Monday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
Donald Flaherty
Donald Flaherty, 73, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 13, 1928, in New York. A resident for 11 years, he was a bartender at Tony Roma's and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; one son, Jon; two daughters, Amy and Trish; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 9-11 a.m. Monday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be noon Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Rose Ann Herlitska
Rose Ann Herlitska, 62, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 25, 1940, in Torrington, Neb. A resident for nine years, she was a retired insurance administrator.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin; one daughter, Jill Jones of Omaha, Neb.; two sons, Bart Stoneback and Bret Stoneback, both of Denver; two brothers, Pat Marek of Denver and Mike Marek of Fort Morgan, Colo.; one sister, Mary Gene Blankenship of Rangely, Colo.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

David Duran Holland
David Duran Holland, 62, of Las Vegas died Sept. 5 in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 29, 1940.
Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Leonard Nick Janello
Leonard Nick Janello, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 9, 1923, in Italy. A resident for 15 years, he was a finishing roll grinder for an engineering manufacturer.
He is survived by his wife, Julia; one son, Thomas Janello of Lake Orion, Mich.; two daughters, Kathy Brown and Linda Janello, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Prosby "P.J." Janello of San Jose, Calif., and Charles Janello of Louisville, Ohio; two sisters, Ruby Mastri of Philadelphia and Ann Pontius of Louisville, Ohio; and three grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Services and burial will be in Canton. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Kathy J. Katzenbach
Kathy J. Katzenbach, 48, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 28, 1954, in Boulder City. A lifelong resident, she was a hotel assistant director.
She is survived by one son, Adam Katzenbach, and her mother, Betty J. Katzenbach, both of Boulder City; and two brothers, David J. Katzenbach of Fallbrook, Calif., and Daniel J. Katzenbach of Tonopah.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Boulder City Cemetery, 501 Adams Blvd.

Helen Kawasaki, 68, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 30, 1933, in Pierre, Ind. A resident for nine years, she was a retired insurance broker.
She is survived by her husband, Norimasa; one son, Thomas Kawasaki of Elk Grove Village, Ill.; one daughter, Connie Kawasaki of Las Vegas; one sister, Frances Boven of California; and one grandchild.

Lloyd Lentz
Lloyd Lentz, 81, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 30, 1921, in Kansas. A resident for four years, he was a retired owner-operator of an RV company and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Martha; two daughters, Linda Wiseman of Bakersfield, Calif., and Judith Oare of Laughlin; one sister, Margaret Grenoble of Las Vegas; one brother, Edwin Lentz of Round Top, Texas; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Eric Lee McElroy, 57, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born June 21, 1945, in Pittsburgh. A resident for six years, he was a schoolteacher.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; one son, Neil McElroy of Las Vegas; and one sister, Patricia McElroy of Pittsburgh.

MaryAnn Poisson
MaryAnn Poisson, 67, of Las Vegas died Sept. 19 in Las Vegas. She was born May 20, 1935, in Lowell, Mass. A resident for 12 years, she was a printer.
She is survived by her husband, Theodore; four sons, Theodore Jr., Edward and David, all of Las Vegas, and James of California; three daughters, Deborah Burkett and Christine Nickerson, both of New Hampshire, and Annette Lopez of New Mexico; one brother, Edward Arico of Massachusetts; and 11 grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive.
David James Rasmussen
David James Rasmussen, 28, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A computer consultant, he was born July 9, 1974, in New Mexico.
He is survived by one brother, Thor Rasmussen of Utah; and two sisters, Gretchen Matsuda of Colorado and Kyrstinn Carlberg of North Carolina.
Visitation is scheduled 9-10 a.m. Saturday with services following at 10:30 a.m. in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Marciana Cruz Sliwinski
Marciana Cruz Sliwinski, 58, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 2, 1943, in Pateros, Philippines. A resident for 14 years, she worked in financing for Household Credit Services.
She is survived by her husband, Mitchell; her mother, Dolores B. Cruz, one brother, Daniel B. Cruz, and four sisters, Irenea Ramirez, Estela Reyes, Edna Romero and Kathy Barlao, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to noon services Saturday in St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 4519 Simmons St., North Las Vegas. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.
Brian D. Sprinkle
Brian D. Sprinkle, 55, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born April 7, 1947, in Washington, D.C. A resident for more than 30 years, he was a dealer and authored books on President John F. Kennedy's death, including "Armchair Detective."
He is survived by his companion, Cali Sprinkle of Las Vegas; and three cousins, Sheila Phillips of St. Louis, Joanne Harty of Falls Church, Va., and Sean Harty of Atlanta.
A memorial service was scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. The family suggests donations to the Animal Foundation, 700 N. Mojave Road, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
Joan L. Webb
Joan L. Webb, 60, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 8, 1942, in Grand Forks, N.D. A resident for 14 years, she was a retired hotel waitress.
She is survived by her husband, William; one daughter, Kimberly Webb of Las Vegas; three sons, Michael Webb of Las Vegas and Randy Webb and Stephen Webb, both of California; one sister, Diane Moore of Ontario, Calif.; one brother, Randy Fontain of Sunland, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Frieda June Williams
Frieda June Williams, 73, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born June 20, 1929.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Monroe Williams; three daughters; two brothers; two sons; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Sunrise Cremation & Burial Society, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 5, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Jerry Winn Jr.
Jerry Winn Jr., 34, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 17, 1968, in Las Vegas. A resident for 34 years, he was a waiter.
He is survived by his mother, Audrey Winn; his father and stepmother, Jerry Winn Sr. and Joannie Wesley Winn; one brother, Willie Jesse Winn; and one sister, Megan Winn.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Bethel Baptist Church, 400 W. Adams Ave. Valley Memorial Crematory, 4855 W. Desert Inn Road, is handling arrangements.
