Frances Baum

Frances Baum, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 24, 1936, in Palmyra, Maine. A resident for 29 years, she was a retired paralegal and a member of Daughters of the Nile.

She is survived by her husband, Jerome; one daughter, Linda McNeill of Sacramento; two sons, Bob McNeill of Henderson and George McNeill of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one stepdaughter, Sharon Carter of Las Vegas; two stepsons, Samuel Baum of Las Vegas and Jay Baum of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Friday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103, or the Zelzah Shrine Transportation Fund, 2222 W. Mesquite Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89106.

Patricia Ann Bumbalough

Patricia Ann Bumbalough, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born March 13, 1930, in California. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Thomas Sr.; one son, William Green; one brother, George Padilla; one sister, Diana Griswold; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private services.

James L. Danti

James L. Danti, 68, of Granger, Iowa, died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 7, 1934, in Woodward, Iowa. A former resident for eight years, he was a retired accountant and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by two sisters, Audrey Danti Kovacevich of Destrehan, La., and Judy Brown of Des Moines, Iowa; and one brother, Robert Danti of Granger, Iowa.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the Assumption Catholic Church and School, Granger.

Betty Joyce Dax

Betty Joyce Dax, 57, of Las Vegas died Sept. 16 in Las Vegas. A resident for 10 years, she was born Feb. 5, 1945, in Wisconsin.

She is survived by her mother, Linnea Johnson, one brother, Eric Johnson, both of Wisconsin; and one son, Earl Dax of Pennsylvania.

A memorial service was 4:30 p.m. Friday in William K. Moore Elementary School. Burial will be private. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, is handling arrangements.

Rodney Fisher

Rodney Fisher, 34, of Las Vegas died Aug. 16 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct.10, 1967, in San Diego. A resident for six years, he was an Army veteran.

He is survived by his father, Ronald Fisher of Anderson, Ind.

Graveside services were scheduled today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Norman Frederick Homeier

Norman Frederick Homeier, 86, of Ruch, Ore., died Monday in Ruch. He was born Dec. 23, 1915, in Indianapolis. A former Las Vegas resident, he was an employee at Trans World Airlines, director of dining and commissary and then co-owned the Ready Room at McCarran Airport.

He is survived by his wife, Margo; two sons, Norman F. Homeier II of Eagle Point, Ore., and Matthew R. Homeier of Ruch; one daughter, Lolita Cooper of Quartzite, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Ernestine 'Kitty' Hyden

Ernestine "Kitty" Hyden, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born April 28, 1931, in West Virginia. A resident for 23 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Norine S. Hyden of Las Vegas and Vanessa R. Clark of Piqua, Ohio; five sons, William Duane Hyden of Daytona Beach, Fla., Mark Anthony Hyden, Daniel Scott Hyden and Ronnie Lee Hyden, both of Las Vegas, and Jamie Allen Hyden; three brothers, Jimmy Carter, Bobby Carter and Michael Carter, all of Florida; three sisters, Judy Plesk of Ohio and Carol Carter and Doris Carter, both of Florida; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Lawrence Imber

Lawrence Imber, 77, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 4, 1925, in New York. A resident for 28 years, he was a retired projectionist in the entertainment industry.

He is survived by one son, Matthew Imber of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Connie Faye Johnson

Connie Faye Johnson, 47, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 22, 1954, in Altheimer, Ark. A resident for 28 years, she was an employee at the Las Vegas Hilton.

She is survived by her husband, Albert Sr.; four daughters, Tiffany Wedlow, Tanika Johnson, Felicia Johnson and Tiara Johnson; one son, Albert Johnson Jr.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Collie Wedlow of Altheimer; three sisters, Estine Laws, Bobbie Whitmore and Mary Lindsey, all of Las Vegas; five brothers, Curtis Gardner of Huntsville, Ala., and Collie Jr., David, Kenny and Alvin, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Valley Memorial Crematory, 4855 W. Desert Inn Road. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in True Love Missionary Baptist Church, 1941 N. H St. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, is handling arrangements.

William Conway Lake

William Conway Lake, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 4, 1923, in Iowa. A resident for eight years, he was a retired auto salesman and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marian; two sons, Thomas of Las Vegas and Robert of Sioux City, Iowa; two daughters, Nancy of Las Vegas and Debby Sanders of Sioux City; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Clarence H. Meyer

Clarence H. Meyer, 93, of Henderson died Monday in a local care center. He was born May 21, 1909, in Martell, Neb. A resident for seven years, he was a retired government mechanical engineer, a lifetime member of the Masons and past master of Dhahran Daylite Masonic Lodge 35.

He is survived by two daughters, Joanne Giles of Henderson and Marilyn Exley of Littleton, Colo.; two brothers, Elmer Meyer of Gooding, Idaho, and Eldo Meyer of Westlaco, Texas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

John J. 'Johnny Flamingo' Mosgrove

John J. "Johnny Flamingo" Mosgrove, 86, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born April 14, 1916, in Lima, Ohio. A resident for 25 years, he was a steel worker and an Army veteran.

Robert F. Murphy

Robert F. Murphy, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 8, 1921, in Redondo Beach, Calif. A resident for 18 years, he was a pipefitter, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Pipe Fitters Union.

He is survived by his companion, Viola Adams of Las Vegas; two sisters, Marjorie Watson of Ojai, Calif., and Edna Herrell of Redondo Beach; and one brother, Jack Murphy of Ojai.

Jeanne Okimoto, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 19, 1917, in Utah. A resident for 32 years, she was a motel housekeeper.

Lloyd A. 'Jack' Paugh

Lloyd A. "Jack" Paugh, 73, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 20, 1928, in Arkansas. A resident for 18 years, he was a cook and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Joe Paugh and Michael Paugh, one daughter, Abigail McGuire, one brother, Robert Paugh, and one sister, Sue Miller, all of California.

Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. Sunday at the home at 210 S. Seventh St. Burial will be private. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, is handling arrangements.

Rodney Lewis Peeden

Rodney Lewis Peeden, 46, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 6, 1956, in San Bernardino, Calif. A resident for 15 years, he was a taxi driver and a member of the American Business Women's Association.

He is survived by one son, Jerome Lewis Peeden; his father, Lewis Albert Peeden; his mother, Gloria Jeanette Snapp; one brother; and five sisters.

Remy V. Rendell

Remy V. Rendell, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 9, 1928, in the Philippines. A resident for 37 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Pauline Kenold of Las Vegas; 27 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled at 4 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Samir Salaiman

Samir Salaiman, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A resident for many years, he was born July 1, 1934.

Graveside services were scheduled at 10:30 a.m. today in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Marc Sheehan

Marc Sheehan, 27, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 22, 1975, in Bayonne, N.J. A resident for five years, he was a sales associate in the computer industry.

He is survived by his mother, Joanne, and one brother, George Sheehan, both of Las Vegas.

Marilyn Voss

Marilyn Voss, 65, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. A retired food packer, she was born Feb. 11, 1937, in Kansas City, Kan.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; four sons, Joseph A. Voss of Oceanside, Calif., James M. Voss of Henderson, John G. Voss of Hesperia, Calif., and Ronald G. Voss of Anaheim, Calif.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Earse Lee Wilkins

Earse Lee Wilkins, 60, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born July 19, 1942, in Jackson, La. A resident for 45 years, she was a hotel supervisor.

She is survived by her husband, Carl E.; one daughter, Cecilia Freeman of Las Vegas; three brothers, Major Reed and Henry A. Reed, both of Vallejo, Calif., and Ernest L. Reed of Valley Center, Calif.; and two sisters, Caseal R. Davis and Mary Cooke, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled noon-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in American Burial and Cremation Services. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
