MACON, Ga. -- Macon police confiscated 56 video poker machines from a vendor who was selling them for up to $500 each at the Georgia State Fair.
Macon police Sgt. Duncan Matthews said five machines were sold before police seized the 56 machines Tuesday night.
Under state law, it is illegal to own or operate machines that pay cash or coupons that can be redeemed for food, gift certificates or merchandise.
The vendor was not identified and so far no one has been charged in the incident, which is under investigation.
