Taste of Henderson set for Fiesta Saturday
The Henderson Chamber of Commerce, Fiesta Henderson and Marketing Results Plus will present "Taste of Henderson," an event that promotes local businesses, from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Fiesta hotel.
The event will feature a variety of food from local restaurants, drinks, crafts, entertainment and a book sale. Tickets are $5.

Metro will host open houses Tuesday
Metro Police will hold open houses 7 p.m. Tuesday at these substations:
Downtown, 401 S. Fourth St.; Northeast, 831 N. Mojave Road; Northwest, 9850 W. Cheyenne Ave.; South Central, 4860 Las Vegas Blvd. South; Southeast, 3675 E. Harmon Ave.; and Southwest, 5925 Spring Mountain Road.

Nellis preparing for two-day air show
Nellis Air Force Base will host a two-day air show on Oct. 5 and 6 featuring the Air Force's Thunderbirds.
Admission, parking at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and transportation from the speedway to Nellis are free.

Councilman Michael McDonald
will host a Ward 1 neighborhood meeting at 6:30 p.m. today at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St., to give residents the opportunity to discuss issues affecting their communities and talk to McDonald in person.
