Mercedez D. Bautista
Mercedez D. Bautista, 64, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born May 24, 1938, in the Philippines. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired hotel wardrobe attendant.
She is survived by her husband, Cirilo; two daughters, Raquel Menor of Las Vegas and Ruth Quilates of the Philippines; three sons, Jonathan Bautista and Tito Bautista, both of the Philippines, and Cir Bautista of Las Vegas; several sisters and brothers, all of the Philippines; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday and Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1881 N. Walnut Road.
Lola Evelyn Bowersox-Jelmyer
Lola Evelyn Bowersox-Jelmyer, 58, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 19, 1944, in Colorado. A resident for 26 years, she was a telemarketer for a mortgage company.
She is survived by two sons, Phillip Bryan Jelmyer and Phillip Travis Jelmyer; one daughter, Natalie Nicole Degidralmo; her mother, Eulaine; two brothers, Richard Lynn Willard and Kenneth Willard; and three sisters, Ginger Lorraine, Wanda Luella and Joy Gilberta.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Wednesday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Roy Chambre
Roy Chambre, 65, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born May 23, 1937, in San Diego. A resident for five years, he was a retired airline pilot who flew for Delta and Western Airlines and was a Vietnam War Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Patty; one daughter, Patrice Schaefer, and one son, Chuck Chambre, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Sharon Skinner of Granada Hills, Calif.; and one brother, John Chambre of Gardena, Calif.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 4 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Ronald A. Champ
Ronald A. Champ, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born June 1, 1931, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 33 years, he was a retired Air Force tech sergeant, a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran, a member of the Masons and the Shriners.
He is survived by his wife, Jenny; three daughters, Diana Trace of Clovis, N.M., and Chris Geary and Libby Molina, both of Las Vegas; one son, Daniel Molina of Junction City, Ore.; his mother, Frances Champ, one brother, Wayne Champ, and one sister, Arlene Ashton, all of Tampa, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Esther Cohen
Esther Cohen, 51, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born March 19, 1951, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for three years, she was a retired secretary for a utility company.
She is survived by her husband, Sheldon; and one brother, Steven Fintz of Simi Valley, Calif.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Marc S. Dupont
Marc S. Dupont, 67, of Las Vegas, died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 2, 1935, in Plant City, Fla. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired electrician, a member of IBEW Local 357 and a Coast Guard veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Margie; two daughters, Renee Dupont of Englewood, Colo., and Michele Ferrall of Las Vegas; one brother, Al Dupont of San Antonio; three sisters, Marcelle Navarre of Plant City, Jacqueline Dupont of Tallahassee, Fla., and Claire Dupont of Lakeland, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be noon Saturday at 5875 Palmyra Ave., Las Vegas.
The family requests donations to Nathan Adelson Hospice.
Gwendolyn M. Frommer
Gwendolyn M. Frommer, 65, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born July 13, 1937, in Granville Township, Pa. A resident for 63 years, she retired as a nurse from University Medical Center after 23 years and was a Las Vegas High School graduate.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; one daughter, Debra A. Frommer of Anaheim, Calif.; two sons, Donald B. Frommer and John C. Frommer, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, John S. Mull Jr. of Metairie, La., William E. Mull of Ely and Theodore C. Mull of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Helen C. Furmanski, 97, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 9, 1904, in Columbus, Neb. A resident for 33 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Gold Star Mothers.
She is survived by one daughter, Grace Berry of Las Vegas; three sisters, Mary Machan of Grand Island, Neb., Teresa Bogus of Kansas and Josephine Gracik of Grove, Colo.; one grandchild, two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Carey Hensley, 56, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born May 26, 1946, in Chicago. A resident for six months, she was a retired receptionist.
She is survived by her parents, Florence and Sam Invergo, and one sister, Frances Roberts, all of Las Vegas.

Lottie Lucille Hill, 92, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born March 1, 1910, in Philadelphia, Miss. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, George C. Hill of Las Vegas, Robert L. Hill of Grass Valley, Calif., and William L. Hill of Chico, Calif.; two sisters, Mabel Alford of Atlanta and Laura Goodin of Noxapater, Miss.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Laurence R. Muir, 75, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 23, 1926, in Peru, Ill. A resident for 28 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a printing company.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; one brother, John Muir of Gillman, Ill.; and one sister, Joan Smith of Farmington Hills, Mich.

Orah Florence Murphy, 94, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 12, 1907, in New Albany, Kan. A resident for 56 years, she was a waitress at the Horseshoe.
She is survived by one daughter, Virginia Morrison of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Sunday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Anthony V. Polito, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born in Providence, R.I. A resident for four years, he was a retired musician, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, an executive board member of the Providence Federation of Musicians Local 198, a graduate of Berkley College of Music, a retired professional trumpeter and former musical director of Bryant College in Smithfield, R.I.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia A.; and two daughters, Nancy A. Polito and Lynn A. Polito-Perez, both of Las Vegas.

Glenda J. Ralls
Glenda J. Ralls, 61, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 15, 1941, in Wichita Falls, Texas. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired medical laboratory technician and a Navy veteran.
She is survived by her husband, John R.; one son, Grady L. Ward of Las Vegas; one brother, John Crabb of Fort Worth, Texas; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Gene E. Ray
Gene E. Ray, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born May 7, 1925, in Bayfield, Wis. A resident for five years, she was a casino secretary since 1990.
She is survived by three sons, Gerald Wesly Maines of Las Vegas and Tharonce Thomas Maines and Greg Maines, both of Pahrump; 10 grandchildren, eight grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Corey Alan Smith, 46, of Las Vegas died Friday in Salt Lake City. He was born Aug. 5, 1956, in Van Nuys, Calif. A resident for 27 years, he was an employee of the U.S. Forest Service.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Paul Raymond and Marilyn Smith; his mother and stepfather, Alma Fay and Lee Millar; two brothers, Stephen Smith and Randy Smith; one stepbrother, Doug Millar; one sister, Paulette DeMint.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is arranging private services.

Juanita Smolt, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born July 24, 1927, in West Virginia. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired hospital cashier.
She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Gonzalas of Las Vegas and Linda Kies of Riverside, Calif.; two sons, David Hemphill of Las Vegas and Danny Hemphill of La Habra, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Donal E. Walker, 79, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 9, 1923, in Illinois. A resident for 50 years, he was an operating engineer and a member of the Eagles.
He is survived by his wife, Josie M.; one daughter, Brenda J. Melven of Nevada; and one grandson.
Mass will be celebrated 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Graveside services will be 11:20 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
