Letter: Camera-happy society feared
Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002 | 9:25 a.m.
Jeannette T-Bosket's Sept. 16 letter to the editor about traffic cameras states, "Cameras are the only way to go. The police can't be everywhere but the cameras can. Most drivers know with the police shortage they have a slim-to-none chance of being pulled over."
If she believes that, then she should also be in favor of the following:
Cameras are the only way to go. The police can't be everywhere but cameras can. Most criminals know with the police shortage, they have a slim-to-none chance of getting caught.
Let's put cameras on "every" street corner. And if this should ever come to pass, I hope the first camera is pointed at Ms. T-Bosket's front door.
