Catching up with … VANESHA BAILEY

Currently: After starring as a midfielder and forward for the Wildcats in 2001, Bailey has moved back to join the team's defense this season. The second-year player has helped 3-1-1 Arizona post three shutouts in its first five games. Last season, Bailey finished second on her squad with 17 points (six goals, five assists), starting all 18 contests for the Pac-10 school.
