Vegas company in deals with Rank, Multimedia

Mikohn Gaming Corp. of Las Vegas said today it's teaming with the United Kingdom's Rank Group Gaming Division to launch the first wide area progressive system for table games.

The stud poker progressive initially links three casinos in Manchester, England, with a rollout to Rank's remaining 30 casinos planned over the next few months.

Progressive systems typically link gambling at multiple locations to lure gamblers with higher jackpots.

Also, Mikohn said Monday it signed a manufacturers and distributors agreement with Multimedia Games Inc. for some Mikohn-branded slot games.

Multimedia Games will be able to offer up to four branded slot game titles from Mikohn. Yahtzee is expected to be the first game title marketed under the agreement.

The agreement also stipulates that Mikohn will be the provider of choice for signage and electronic displays.
