CARSON CITY -- Gov. Kenny Guinn today named Elko attorney Andrew Puccinelli to succeed District Judge Jack Ames in the 4th Judicial District, which has jurisdiction over Elko County.
Ames retired and Puccinelli was the only one to apply to serve out the remainder of the term, which expires in January. Puccinelli is also the only attorney who filed for election in November for a new six-year term.
Puccinelli graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Pacific and earned his law degree from McGeorge School of Law.
