Foul play feared as blood found in home of missing couple

Metro Police homicide detectives have opened an investigation into the disappearance of a Las Vegas couple after blood was found in the couple's home.
Police searched the home of William and Shirley Rundle in the 4700 block of Poppywood Drive, near Tropicana Avenue and Buffalo Drive, Thursday and found blood in the house. They also found other "little things" that appeared suspicious, leading them to suspect a potential homicide, said Sgt. Rocky Alby of Metro's homicide unit.
The Rundles were last seen at their home on Aug. 17 and were reported missing by a family member. A note was found saying they were going out of the country for a family emergency, but relatives were contacted in the Philippines and reported there was no emergency and they had not seen the couple, police said.
"The note said they were going out of the county, but that didn't happen," Alby said. "There were some suspicious things found ... All of her clothing appears to still be there. It's suspicious at this point, but it's real close to that foul play area."
The couple's 2001 white, four-door Buick with Nevada license plate "HONYBUN" is also missing.
Anyone with information in this case is asked to call Metro's homicide unit at 229-3521 or Secret Witness at 385-5555.
