Artists needed

Ovarian cancer
Major Outdoor Manufacturers are supporting the "HERA Climb for Life, Las Vegas" 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Powerhouse Climbing Center, 8201 W. Charleston Blvd. Funds raised by the HERA Foundation will benefit Johns Hopkins Ovarian Cancer Initiative. Cost is $20. 254-5604 or 804-4799.

Thai Cuisine
Thai Cultural Arts Association of Las Vegas and the City of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services celebrate Thai Performing Arts Appreciation Day by hosting a national costume fashion show with food and a no-host bar at 6 to 11 p.m. Tuesday at Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Summer fairs
The 22nd annual San Gennaro Feast, a street fair with entertainment and a food festival, is at 4 p.m. to midnight today, 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday at "Little Italy Las Vegas," southwest corner of Flamingo Road and Valley View Boulevard. Clark County Parks and Community Services Department presents the Clark County Celtic Festival with music at 5 p.m. Saturday at Clark County Government Amphitheater, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. Admission is free. 455-8200.
Independence
The Mexican Patriotic Committee and the City of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services, in celebration of the 192nd anniversary of Mexico's Independence, will host a picnic 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Freedom Park, East Washington Avenue at Mojave Road. The Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation and the City of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services will host a picnic 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Lorenzi Park, West Washington Avenue between Rancho Drive and Valley View Boulevard. Admission is $7, children 12 and younger are free. 284-6400.
