Fresno, Calif.-based Allegiant Air will add four flights a week to its Las Vegas schedule to meet demand for customers in Fresno and Colorado Springs, Colo.
Allegiant will add Saturday flights to existing Fresno and Colorado Springs schedule to turn those into daily operations. In addition, the airline is adding Thursday and Monday round trips between Las Vegas and Colorado Springs.
The new Thursday and Monday flights will begin Oct. 3 while the new Saturday flights will start Oct. 19.
Allegiant uses twin-engine DC-9 and MD-87 jets on the routes, using the 130-seat MD-87 when demand is high and the 83-seat DC-9 on other days.
A spokesman for the airline said demand has doubled on its routes to and from Las Vegas since May.
