Dean M. Dickinson

Dean M. Dickinson, 79, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 30, 1923, in Sioux City, Iowa. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired brewery bottler and a World War II and Korean War Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Avril; one daughter, Seelchen Feibush of Orange, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

William Dennis Duffy

William Dennis Duffy, 85, of Pahrump died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Dec. 7, 1916, in New Jersey. A resident for 10 years, he was a plumbing repairman for 29 years, a Navy veteran and deep sea diver and a member of the Moose.

He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; one son, Stephen Saluy of California; two daughters, Esther Kilianski of Virginia and Patricia Pritchard of Pahrump; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Irene E. Elkins

Irene E. Elkins, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local convalescent hospital. She was born Sept. 20, 1913, in Sheridan, Ark. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by four daughters, Louise Storey of Searcy, Ark., JoAnne Dortch of Saratoga Springs, Utah, Earlene MacDonald of Las Vegas and Robin Motroni of Folsom, Calif.; two sisters, Alida Elkins and Kathleen Mason, both of Pine Bluff, Ark.; one brother, Rueben Elkins of Fontana, Calif.; 27 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.

Ina Estes

Ina Estes, 86, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 14, 1915, in Locust Grove, Okla. A resident for 48 years, she was a retired cosmetologist.

She is survived by four daughters, Carolyn Crunk, Marilyn Blackwood, Judy Wilkes and Connie Lunt, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Vera Spoerlein of California; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today and 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main.

Jimmie Finch Jr.

Jimmie Finch Jr., 46, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 9, 1956, in Milwaukee. A resident for two years, he was a computer engineer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Alesia; four daughters, Latoya Finch, Latasha Finch, Latisha Finch and Latonya Robinson, all of Milwaukee; his parents, Venora and Jimmie Finch Sr. of Las Vegas; one brother, Carl Finch of Milwaukee; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to noon services Wednesday in Mountaintop Faith Ministries, 2850 S. Lindell Road. Burial will be in Wisconsin. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive., is handling arrangements.

Donald L. Fultz

Donald L. Fultz, 73, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 22, 1928, in Cushing, Okla. A resident for 24 years, he was a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by one son, Donald J. Fultz of North Las Vegas; one daughter, Tammera Barlow of Chico, Calif.; three brothers, Jimmy Murrell of Porterville, Calif., Richie Murrell of California and Norman Murrell of Mariposa, Calif.; one sister, Wanda Barlow of Oregon; and three grandchildren.

Sidney Byron Hudson

Sidney Byron Hudson, 66, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 3, 1936, in Verbena, Ala. A resident for 31 years, he was a retired Air Force fighter pilot and Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Therese A.; one daughter, Cecily Murray of Palo Alto, Calif.; two brothers, Samuel R. Hudson of Verbena, and David E. Hudson of Atlanta; and one grandchild.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Geraldine Hunley

Geraldine Hunley, 68, of Pahrump died Friday in Pahrump. She was born April 22, 1934, in Kentucky. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Arnold; four daughters, Regina Howard, Teresa Blosser and Donna Sulitis, all of Pahrump, and Cherie Green of Baker, Calif.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon until 2 p.m. services Thursday in Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.

Andrew 'Rich' Juhasz

Andrew "Rich" Juhasz, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 19, 1919, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired government chief patent examiner and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie; one son, Rick Juhasz, and one daughter, Chris Noble, both of Las Vegas.

Cora Ruth Kaempfer

Cora Ruth Kaempfer, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 5, 1920, in Thiensville, Wis. A resident for 35 years, she was a retired librarian, a real estate agent with Jesse Emmett Realty and an animal rights activist.

She is survived by three sons, Jon Kaempfer of Sacramento and Chris Kaempfer and Gary Kaempfer, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Thursday at the Lakes Lutheran Church, 8200 W. Sahara Ave. Burial will be in Sacramento. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Louise Kenyon

Louise Kenyon, 53, of Sandy Valley died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born April 18, 1949, in Wooster, Ohio. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Julie Scholl of Sandy Valley; two sons, Larry Kenyon of Las Vegas and Bill Yacapraro of Wooster; and seven grandchildren.

Thomas F. Kielbasa

Thomas F. Kielbasa, 55, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. An electrical supplies salesman, he was born Sept. 4, 1947, in Pittsburgh.

He is survived by his wife, Valerie; one brother, David Kielbasa; and one sister, Maxine Kielbasa.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Sept. 21 in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Harold Klinger

Harold Klinger, 86, of Las Vegas died Aug. 16 in Las Vegas. An Army veteran, he was born Sept. 4, 1915.

Marietta Langan

Marietta Langan, 76, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. She was born July 4, 1926, in Lawndale, Calif. A resident for six years, she was a retired aircraft factory worker.

She is survived by one son, George Anderson of Las Vegas; two sisters, Eva Taylor and Evelyn Hines, both of California; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. today in the LDS chapel at Carnegie Street and Paseo Verde Parkway. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Laurel H. Larsen

Laurel H. Larsen, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Henderson. She was born May 25, 1914, in St. George, Utah. A resident for 55 years, she was a retired real estate broker.

She is survived by two sons, Robert D. Larsen of Boulder City and Johnny Kim Larsen of Henderson; one sister, Bonnie Hoffman of Henderson; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

James M. Messinger

James M. Messinger, 84, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born March 14, 1918, in Glendale, Ariz. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired Air Force master sergeant, one of 200 veterans during World War II authorized to wear both Army and Navy wings, a member of the Masons in Texas and the Las Vegas Friendship Club Dance Studio.

He is survived by his companion, Angeline M. Bacarella of Las Vegas; two daughters, Jeanine Russell of Dallas and Flavia Bacarella-Stewart of West Town, N.Y.; two sons, Anthony Bacarella of Islip, N.Y., and Robert Bacarella of Houpough, N.Y.; two sisters, Alice Grant of Santa Monica, Calif., and Rose Barlow of Daotil, N.M.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will be private.

Charles 'Nick' Nicholas

Charles "Nick" Nicholas, 82, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 24, 1919, in Pahrump. A resident for 12 years, he was a union business agent and a World War II veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Charlynn Spring of El Cajon, Calif.

John Paul Rigney

John Paul Rigney, 59, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Nov. 21, 1942, in Huntington Park, Calif. A resident for 47 years, he was a heavy duty mechanic, an Air Force veteran and a Boulder City High School graduate.

He is survived by one stepdaughter, Lori Rivera of Las Vegas; his mother, Lillian Rigney of Boulder City; and four step-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 9:30 a.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by burial in Boulder City Cemetery, 501 Adams Blvd.

Benjamin Roach

Benjamin Roach, 88, of Pahrump died Friday in Pahrump. He was born Aug. 26, 1914, in Virginia. A resident for 14 years, he was an Army veteran who served for 22 years, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

He was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Roach.

He is survived by his caregivers, Richard and Franziska McNinney of Pahrump; one daughter, Linda Roach of New Jersey; one brother, Charles Roach, and two sisters, Madeline and Francis Roach, all of Virginia.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road.

Helena Rossi

Helena Rossi, 76, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born March 24, 1926, in Germany. A resident for 24 years, she was a seamstress and a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union 48 in New York.

She is survived by her husband, Louis; two sons, Louis Rossi Jr. of New York and Steven Rossi of Las Vegas; and one daughter, Marie Postorino of Las Vegas.

Ella Ryff

Ella Ryff, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born March 16, 1925, in Scotland. A resident for 52 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; two daughters, Gayle Ryff and Darlene Morledge, both of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Charles F. Schaaf Jr., 84, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born July 9, 1918, in New York City. A resident for seven years, he was a retired insurance broker.

He is survived by one sister, Gladys Zufall of Las Vegas.
