Letter: We could be wrong about Iraq

The last war with Iraq had some justification and the support of many nations. That war cost 200,000 lives. This proposed war would not be fought in the desert but in the cities.

No real debate is being proposed. There are only excuses being sought.

The latest "reason" for going to war is that Saddam will give atomic weapons to terrorists. If terrorists need such weapons, they are more likely to get them from the Russians than from their enemy, Saddam.

I believe Saddam has two goals: to stay alive and to stay in power. If he had an atomic weapon, which apparently he does not, it could only be used as a defensive weapon.

If the administration is concerned about weapons, why not go through the U.N.?

When the entire world except our toady, Tony Blair, disagrees, it's just possible we might be wrong on this one.
