Former UNLV basketball player Anderson Hunt was sentenced to two years probation Monday after pleading guilty to attempted embezzlement in July.
Should Hunt violate the terms of his probation, he will have to serve a 12- to 32-month prison sentence.
District Judge Kathy Hardcastle also ordered Hunt to pay $1,754 in restitution.
Hunt, one of the stars of UNLV's 1990 NCAA championship team, was accused of failing to return a rental car.
