Volleyball team falls to Ball State

The UNLV volleyball team (3-3) fell to Ball State 3-1 (30-20, 30-27, 27-30, 30-25) on the final day of the Gameworks/UNLV Classic in Cox Pavilion on Sunday. California defeated Texas Tech 3-0 (30-22, 30-19, 30-22) to claim the tournament title.
UNLV's Tarin Keith posted her first double-double of the season with 17 kills and 12 digs. Nicki King finished the match one dig shy of her first double-double. She tallied nine digs and 47 assists.
Olson, from Las Vegas' Centennial High School, notched the unassisted game-winner in traffic from 18 yards out for her second goal of the year.
Sophomore Annii Magliulo connected on a pass from sophomore Codi Schumaker (Torrance, Calif.) at 25:04 to give the Rebels the 1-0 lead before the half.
The Rebels were without starting goalkeeper Justin Dennis, who received a red card in Friday's 3-2 loss to No. 18 Boston College.
