Former Las Vegas entertainment industry stagehand Steve Edward Rogich has died in Spokane, Wash., where he had been a resident the last 13 years. He was 47.
Rogich, the brother of noted Las Vegas political adviser Sig Rogich, founder of R&R Advertising and the Rogich Communications Group, died Saturday. The cause was not immediately available.
Born July 21, 1955, in Ione, Wash., to Edwin Lavern Rogich and the former Ragnheidur "Ranny" Aridottir, Steve Rogich was raised in Las Vegas and was a 1973 graduate of Las Vegas High School.
In addition to his stagehand work, he also was a carpenter before moving to Priest Lake, Wash., in 1987.
In addition to his brother and father, both of Las Vegas, Steve Rogich is survived by another brother Ed Rogich, also of Las Vegas; and a sister Ronnie Rogich-Chestnut of New York.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a stepsister, Stephanie O'Brien.
The family said donations can be made in Rogich's memory to the Heaven Can Wait Sanctuary, P.O. Box 30158, Las Vegas, NV 89173-0158.
Private graveside services will be Friday at Metaline Cemetery in Newport, Wash. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home of Newport handled the arrangements.
