Theater

Comedy festival

The Las Vegas Comedy Festival Trade Show/Convention runs through Sunday at the Wayne Newton Theater, Avalon Ballroom at the Stardust and Fremont Street Experience. Tickets are $10 for the trade show. Some performances are free and others cost $10 to $20. 736-6595.

'Love Letters'

"Love Letters," starring Eva Marie Saint and Jeffrey Hayden, will be at 8 p.m. Saturday at Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St. Admission is $20, $15 in advance. 229-6383.

Chautauqua

"Western Encounters With Lewis & Clark" highlight the Boulder City Chautauqua performances, 6 p.m. tonight and Saturday at Boulder Theater, 1225 Arizona St. Admission is $7; $5 ages 17 and younger. Continental breakfast with the performers at 8 a.m. Saturday, costs $1. The children's program with Sacagawea at 9:30 a.m. and Young Chautauquan performances are at 11 a.m. Saturday. Noah's Ark

Theatre in the Valley presents "Two by Two" in honor of composer Richard Rodgers at 8 p.m. Thursday through Sept. 21, matinees at 2 p.m. Sundays at the Valley View Recreation Center, 500 Harris St., Henderson. Cultural festival

Percussionist and vocalist Vinx performs at the "African-American Cultural Focus' International Drum and Cultural Festival Concert" at 6:30 p.m. today at the West Las Vegas Library Theatre, 951 W. Lake Mead Blvd.

At the West Las Vegas Arts Center Amphitheatre, 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd., co-sponsored by the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District and Findlay Toyota, the International Drum and Cultural Festival will be from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free. 229-4800.

Marion Meadows

Shanta performs

Tribute concert

Fringe festival

UNLV fine arts students who attended this summer's Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland will present their films at the Alta Ham Fine Arts Building.
