Prostate cancer seminar scheduled
University Medical Center is sponsoring a free prostate cancer seminar at 7 p.m. Monday at the Desert Willow Community Center, 2020 Horizon Ridge Road, Henderson.
The American Cancer Society recommends men age 50 talk with their health care provider about beginning annual PSA blood testing and digital exams of the prostate gland.

Mayors to compete in Pinewood Derby
The 2002 Mayors Challenge Pinewood Derby will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Las Vegas City Hall Plaza, 400 E. Stewart Ave.
The event spotlights the opportunities for boys to join the programs of the Boy Scouts. It is open for boys in first grade through age 18.
Each mayor will race a special hand carved pinewood derby car, which is being supplied by Cub Scouts from the community.
