Trailblazers sought at state park
Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is seeking volunteers to help at the park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in order to complete construction on a new trail to be opened in the spring.
The workday will involve shoveling gravel, installing signs and completing a small foot bridge for the handicap portion of the park's newest trail. Call 875-4141.
River Mountains trail project set
The River Mountains Trail Partnership and the city of Henderson will present the second annual River Mountains Loop Trail Clean-Up from 7:30 a.m. to noon Saturday.
The program brings volunteers and federal, state and local land agencies together to improve public lands used for recreation and education.
All clean-up supplies will be provided, and each participant will receive a continental breakfast and a box lunch provided by Railroad Pass hotel. Participants will meet at Equestrian Park, 1200 Equestrian Drive.

Community Foundation fund-raiser planned
Join the North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce to help raise funds for the Community Foundation at 5 p.m. Saturday at Texas Station.
