Alliance Gaming Corp. of Las Vegas announced the retirement from its board of directors of Morton Topfer, effective Thursday.
"There are family matters that require my utmost attention and therefore I have elected to retire from my board position," Topfer said in a statement issued by Alliance. "I am leaving a corporation that I believe has a very bright future ahead of it."
Separately, Alliance director David Robbins sold 20,000 shares of the company's common stock on Oct. 22, according to a Form 4 filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Robbins sold the shares for $17.44 a share. After the transaction, he directly owned 40,000 shares.
Robbins had earlier reported sales of 110,000 shares Oct. 22 and Oct. 23 for prices from $17.62 to $17.78 a share.
