Topfer leaving board

Alliance Gaming Corp. of Las Vegas announced the retirement from its board of directors of Morton Topfer, effective Thursday.
"There are family matters that require my utmost attention and therefore I have elected to retire from my board position," Topfer said in a statement issued by Alliance. "I am leaving a corporation that I believe has a very bright future ahead of it."
Separately, Alliance director David Robbins sold 20,000 shares of the company's common stock on Oct. 22, according to a Form 4 filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Robbins sold the shares for $17.44 a share. After the transaction, he directly owned 40,000 shares.
Robbins had earlier reported sales of 110,000 shares Oct. 22 and Oct. 23 for prices from $17.62 to $17.78 a share.
