Lyndell M. Brawner

Lyndell M. Brawner, 87, of Las Vegas died Oct. 17 in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 4, 1915, in Tennessee. A resident for 42 years, he was an ex-boxer, retired Air Force major and World War II veteran.

Services will be 10:40 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Bertha Marie Cashdollar

Bertha Marie Cashdollar, 100, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born Jan. 14, 1902, in Uniontown, Pa. A resident for seven years, she was a teacher, homemaker, member of the Order of Eastern Star, and an advocate for families on welfare in Washington, D.C.

She is survived by one daughter, Bettie Rothschild of Henderson; and three grandchildren.

Services will be held in North Miami. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Ann C. Davenport

Ann C. Davenport, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Henderson. She was born Oct. 5, 1921, in Atlanta. A resident for four years, she was a former Internal Revenue Agent, liaison officer for the Department of Defense, and a member of the Eastern Star, Optimist International and Marine Corp League.

She is survived by her husband, Charles G.; one son, Patrick B. Williams of Covina, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Paul E. Dodd

Paul E. Dodd, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 21, 1934, in Plattsmouth, Neb. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired electronics technician and Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Alice; one daughter, Paula Fuller of Las Vegas; one son, Larry Dodd of Lake Forest, Calif.; two sisters, Ramona Guyer of Vero Beach, Fla., and Betty Koch of Calvert City, Ky.; and six grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Elsie Gerson

Elsie Gerson, 96, of Henderson died Monday in a local care center. She was born March 7, 1906, in Germany. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Eileen Taylor and George Caan, and two great-grandchildren, Jessica Taylor and Nicole Taylor, all of Henderson.

Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Roberta Ryan Grill

Roberta Ryan Grill, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 22, 1914, in Sioux City, Iowa. A resident for 39 years, she was a homemaker, and member of Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by one son, Thomas R. Grill of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Biff Jensen

Biff Jensen, 59, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born Dec. 28, 1942, in St. Joseph, Mo. A resident for 15 years, he was an entrepreneur, member of the Masons, and Air Force veteran.

He is survived by one son, Cameron Jensen of Las Vegas.

George A. Jones

George A. Jones, 52, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 23, 1949, in Detroit. A resident for two years, he was a retired police sergeant and Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia J. Brown Jones of Okemos, Mich.; one son, Christopher A. Jones of Detroit; two stepdaughters, Angela L. Brown and Stephanie J. Brown, both of Lansing, Mich.; one brother, Calvin Jones of Detroit; and three grandchildren.

Juan Lozoya-Murray

Juan Lozoya-Murray, 37, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. Born July 30, 1965, in Mexico, he was a resident for 22 years.

He is survived by one son, Arron Perez-Murray, and one daughter, Nancy Perez-Murray, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, Isidora Lozoya-Murray of Mexico and Bernardo Lozoya-Murray and Daniel Lozoya-Murray, both of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Maria Elva Cardenas-Murray and Enedina Lozoya-Murray, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation was scheduled until 6 p.m. services today in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Laurelio P. 'Larry' Macaraeg

Laurelio P. "Larry" Macaraeg, 54, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 19, 1948, in the Philippines. A resident for 2 1/2 years, he was an account representative for a collection company.

He is survived by his wife, Marian; two sons, Lawrence M. Macaraeg and Laurelio M. Macaraeg Jr., both of North Las Vegas; one daughter, Sheryl M. Martinez, and one brother, Lamberto Macaraeg, both of San Jose, Calif.; two sisters, Josie M. Forteza and Araceli M. Caragan, both of California City, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled until 7 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday with a 6 p.m. rosary Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Mass will be celebrated 1:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way, followed by burial in Memory Gardens.

John A. Marchina

John A. Marchina, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 16, 1921, in Luka, Yugoslavia. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired teacher, World War II Army veteran and member of the Elks.

He is survived by one daughter, Susan Nunn of Reno; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Laurel Grace McAdams

Laurel Grace McAdams, 80, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born June 6, 1922, in Oklahoma. A resident for 41 years, she was a beautician.

She is survived by one son, Dillard Frederick Vincent; one daughter, Laurel Hughes; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Stephanie Mary Park

Stephanie Mary Park, 27, of Las Vegas died Thursday. She was born Nov. 12, 1974, in Las Vegas. A resident for 25 years, she was a restaurant manager.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Clair and Michael Zeto, and her father and stepmother, Michael and Carla Park, all of Las Vegas; one brother, David Ivazian of Tempe, Ariz.; one sister, Michelle Park of New Orleans, La.; three stepsisters, Jennifer Brooks of Las Vegas, Sheralyn Zeto of Stafford, Va., and Carisa Ricci of St. Paul, Minn.; two stepbrothers, A.J. Zeto of Las Vegas and Adam Archuletta of Stafford; and her grandmother, Aglaia Fuson of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 6 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Additional services will be 11 a.m. Friday in St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 5300 S. El Camino Road, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Anthony Edward Pizzella Sr.

Anthony Edward Pizzella Sr., 40, of Las Vegas died Sunday. He was born Jan. 17, 1962, in Elizabeth, N.J. A resident for five years, he worked in the pharmaceutical business, was a member of the Teamsters and Carpenters unions and was a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Loreen A.; one son, Anthony Edward Pizzella Jr., and two daughters, April Ann Pizzella and Loreen Ann Pizzella Jr., all of Las Vegas; his father, Robert H. Pizzella Sr., of Mandeville, La.; his mother, Carol C. Reid of Jackson, N.J., and his stepfather, Raymond R. Reid of Manchester, N.J.; one sister, Sue-Ann Jernee of Las Vegas; and three brothers, Robert H. Pizzella Jr., of Lacey Township, N.J., and Leonard J. Reid and Michael S. Reid, both of Jackson.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today and one hour prior to 1 p.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Harvey St. Charles

Harvey St. Charles, 69, of Pahrump died Oct. 10 in a veterans hospital. He was born Feb. 7, 1933, in Michigan. A resident for eight years, he was an accountant in the aviation industry, and a Korean War Air Force veteran.

Judith M. Schulte

Judith M. Schulte, 67, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born July 4, 1935, in Chicago. A resident for 24 years, she was a nurse.

She is survived by her husband, John B.; one daughter, Cynthia L. Schulte of Kingman, Ariz.; one son, Sam Schulte of Carona, Calif.; one brother, Roger Missey of Louisville, Colo.; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Fred E. Sherman

Fred E. Sherman, 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 3, 1935, in Massachusetts.

He is survived by two brothers, James Sherman and Ronnie Sherman; and one sister, Gretchen Albano.

Leo D. Smith

Leo D. Smith, 75, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born July 20, 1927, in Delta, Colo. A resident for 49 years, he was a retired master welder for Titanium Metal Production and World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary E.; two sons, Terry Smith of Las Vegas and Thomas Smith of Henderson; five sisters, Betty J. De St. Jeor, Shirlene Peterson and Barbara Jasperson, all of Provo, Utah, Bonnie Jean Nichols of Salt Lake City and Patricia Bartlett of Springville, Utah; one brother, Merle Smith of Springville; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Sue Starbuckle

Sue Starbuckle, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born May 7, 1938, in Oklahoma. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired certified nursing assistant.

She is survived by one son, Earl of Van Nuys, Calif.; and her life partner, Suzanne Marshall of Las Vegas.

Manuel L. Tellez Sr.

Manuel L. Tellez Sr., 58, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 22, 1944, in Van Nuys, Calif. A resident for five years, he was a carpenter and a member of Carpenters Local 1997.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy; one daughter, Tina Lopez of Kingman, Ariz.; two sons, Manuel Tellez Jr. and Billy Tellez, both of Henderson; his mother, Josephine Tellez of San Fernando, Calif.; three sisters, Barbara Ventura and Alice Barajas, both of Whittier, Calif., and Liz Tellez of San Fernando; two brothers, Thomas Tellez and Sammy Tellez, both of San Fernando; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Jack R. Werner

Jack R. Werner, 84, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born May 23, 1918, in Lausanne, Switzerland. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired salesman and World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Eva; one daughter, Christine La Bishak of Canyon Country, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Lori Ann Camp of Squaw Valley, Calif.; one sister, Lynn Moody of Costa Mesa, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Robert Wilson

Robert Wilson, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 12, 1919, in Eureka, Mont. A resident for 13 years, he worked in floor covering for a home supplier prior to his retirement and was a veteran of the Merchant Marines.

He is survived by his wife, Cleo; three sons, Doug Wilson of Corona, Calif., Mark Wilson of Columbia Falls, Mont., and Pete Wilson of Joplin, Mo.; one daughter, Pamela Soho of Roseville, Calif.; and 14 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. services in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
