Charlotte Brewer

Charlotte Brewer, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 16, 1928, in Warsaw, Mo. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired retail sales clerk.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas; two daughters, Terri Brewer of Las Vegas and Sherry Barb of Missouri; two sons, Ron Brewer and Chris Brewer, both of Henderson; three sisters, Donna Lee Burton, Joyce Winzenried and Shirley McDonald; and nine grandchildren.

Services will 3 p.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be private.

Florence J. Carpenter

Florence J. Carpenter, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 5, 1913, in Dayton, Ky. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired quality controller for a playing cards company.

She is survived by one daughter, Gail Kenning of Las Vegas; one son, Robert Carpenter of Arlington, Texas; one sister, Mary Kisker of Deland, Fla.; one brother, Arthur of Florence, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Green Valley Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wigwam Parkway and Valle Verde Drive. Graveside services will be noon Friday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Kenneth R. 'Bill' Copes Jr.

Kenneth R. "Bill" Copes Jr., 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 19, 1931, in Auburn, N.Y. He was a New Jersey state trooper for 22 years and a Vietnam War and Korean War Army veteran who retired as a master sergeant.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Dee; six daughters, Audrey Walker of Rahway, N.J., Rebecca Haugh-Usher of Torrance, Calif., Valerie Mitchell of Gardena, Calif., Jacqueline Hutchinson of Pemberton, N.J., Lucretia Copes of Tucson and Ida Staten of Las Vegas; two sons, Robert Copes of Encino, Calif., and Timothy Copes of Las Vegas; two brothers, Douglas Copes of Syracuse, N.Y., and Louis Copes of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Elsie Dziedzic

Elsie Dziedzic, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local convalescent hospital. She was born Nov. 4, 1924, in Chicago. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Martin of Las Vegas; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Lorena Falder

Lorena Falder, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 23, 1922, in Spearville, Kan. A resident for 28 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by four sons, Michael Falder and Mark Falder, both of Kansas City, Mo., Marty Falder of Las Vegas and Morris Falder of Ely; one brother, Leroy Schuette of Montrose, Colo.; two sisters, Gladys Eining of Dodge City, Kan., and Julie Schmidt of Wichita, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Graveside services will be private.

Farrell Thomas Fite

Farrell Thomas Fite, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 2, 1934, in Missouri. A resident for 24 years, he was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby; one son, Eric Fite of Las Vegas; two brothers, Ray Fite of Springfield, Mo., and Ronald Fite of California; and two sisters, Ruth Smith of Stockton, Mo., and Patricia Welch of Springfield.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Lockwood, Mo. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Bozena C. Frechette

Bozena C. Frechette, 87, of Las Vegas died Oct. 22 in a Henderson care center. She was born July 7, 1915, in Idaho. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired accountant.

She is survived by one son, John Frechette; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

James A. Hayes III

James A. Hayes III, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 3, 1930, in Dedham, Mass. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired controller, a Korean War Marine Corps veteran, a member of the Marine Corps League, the Masons in Hollywood, Calif., and the Gems Society.

He is survived by one son, James A. Hayes IV of Las Vegas; two brothers, Roger Hayes and Richard MacLeod, both of Massachusetts; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Jacob Keith Holmes

Jacob Keith Holmes, 1 1/2, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born April 15, 2001, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his parents, Shawn and Erin Holmes, and one brother, Shawn Paul Holmes II, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Jim and Nancy Johansen of Friday Harbour, Wash., Irven Kipp and Verne and Sandra Holmes of Las Vegas.

Vaclav Kytlica, 75, of Golden Valley, Ariz., died Oct. 16 in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 3, 1927, in Czechoslovakia. A former resident of Boulder City, he was a retired engineer.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; one daughter, Vera Bierend of Santa Clarita, Calif.; one sister, Libuse Ghirni; and four brothers, Vladimir Kytlica, Richard Kytlica, Petr Kytlica and Pavel Kytlica.

Frank Lopez

Frank Lopez, 59, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 7, 1943, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a railroad lineman and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Christina Lopez; one sister, Gloria Lopez of North Las Vegas; four brothers, Refuigo Lopez of Henderson, Manuel G. Lopez and Luis G. Lopez, both of North Las Vegas, and Jesus Lopez of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Raymond F. McCullough

Raymond F. McCullough, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born July 13, 1924, in Illinois. A resident for nine years, he was a warehouse worker for a company that made valves and power equipment and was an Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one son, Raymond A. McCullough; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Veronica E. McKie

Veronica E. McKie, 84, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born March 17, 1918, in Wabasha, Minn. A resident for six years, she was a retired real estate agent.

She is survived by four daughters, Earleen Waigand of Phoenix, Patricia Szacik of Kennewick, Wash., and Veronica Hoff and Cheryl Davis, both of Henderson; one son, William McKie of Henderson; one sister, Dorothy Skawinski of Oaklawn, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Cynthia "Cyndy" Mikes, 42, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 18, 1960, in San Francisco. A lifetime resident, she was a clerical worker for the county government.

She is survived by her husband, Steven E.; one daughter, Caroline Mikes of Las Vegas; her mother, Kathryn Cooper of Henderson; her father, Myron Auerbach, and one brother, Edward Auerbach, both of Stockton, Calif.; and one sister, Susan Auerbach of Henderson.

Marie Catherine Morris, 61, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A resident for 21 years, she was born Nov. 20, 1940, in New Jersey.

She is survived by her significant other, Marvin; one son, Frank Balogh; two daughters, Melissa Fredrickson and Lisa Davis; two brothers, Mike Governale and Richard Governale; three sisters, Fran Hulse, Barbara Majewski and Janice Stary; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Thomas Nettleton II, 53, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 21, 1949, in Merced, Calif. A resident for 20 years, he was a self-employed automobile mechanic and a Shriner.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; one son, Jason of Las Vegas; two daughters, Mary Margaret of Hawthorne, Calif., and Michelle of Henderson; his parents, Virginia and Thomas of Bremerton, Wash.; and three grandchildren.

Andrew J. Pino, 67, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 16, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for three years, he was a retired sales representative.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie; one son, Andrew Pino Jr. of Las Vegas; one daughter, Lorraine Kinnick of Melbourne, Fla.; one sister, Mary of Florida; two brothers, Frank Pino of Brooklyn and Raymond Pino of New Jersey; and two grandchildren.

Anthony Edward Pizzella Sr.

Anthony Edward Pizzella Sr., 40, of Las Vegas died Sunday. He was born Jan. 17, 1962, in Elizabeth, N.J. A resident for five years, he was an electrical mechanical technician for a pharmaceutical company, a Navy veteran, a member of the Teamsters Union and the Carpenters Union.

He is survived by his wife, Loreen A.; one son, Anthony Edward Pizzella Jr., and two daughters, April Ann Pizzella and Loreen Ann Pizzella Jr., all of Las Vegas; his father, Robert H. Pizzella Sr. of Mandeville, La.; his mother, Carol C. Reid of Jackson, N.J.; his stepfather, Raymond R. Reid of Manchester, N.J.; three brothers, Robert H. Pizzella Jr. of Lacey Township, N.J., and Leonard J. Reid and Michael S. Reid, both of Jackson; and one sister, Sue-Ann Jernee of Las Vegas.

Manuel George Plocus

Manuel George Plocus, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 10, 1923, in Colorado. A resident for 15 years, he was a carpet store owner and an Army veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Troy Plocus and Van Plocus; two daughters, Tealara Babcock and Jeanine Nelson; two brothers, Mike and Nick Plakorus; three sisters, Mary Rotolla, Chris DeGelanardo and Rose Quinn; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Eleanor Resnick, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 14, 1922, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Bet Knesset Bamidbar of Sun City.

She is survived by her husband, Nathan; one son, Ken Resnick of Portland, Ore.; two daughters, Bernice Frank of Las Vegas and Jean Passen of San Diego; and five grandchildren.

Rebbekka-Lin Rynott, 5 1/2 weeks, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 15, 2002, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her parents, James John and Stella Irene Rynott, and one sister, Rayell Stella Marie Ball, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Deavon Lose of Iowa; her grandparents, Clyde Dill of Henderson, Velda Jean and John Leslie Rynott Jr. of Las Vegas and Darryl and Janenine Lydick of Eldorado, Kan.; and her great-grandparents, Ida May Rynott of Las Vegas, Carl and Phylis Wilson of Pahrump.

She is survived by her husband, Arnold; one daughter, Claudia Paskiet, and one son, Stephen Thiel, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Dean Marble of Mesa, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.

Peter John Werner Sr.

Peter John Werner Sr., 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 27, 1920, in Medford, Wis. A resident for 29 years, he was a retired optometrist, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by four daughters, Joan M. White, Rita Alleyne and Maureen F. Woods, all of Las Vegas, and Patricia Meixner of Durand, Wis.; five sons, Timothy T. Werner of Cincinnati, Peter J. Werner Jr. of Plover, Wis., Luke Werner and Brian Werner, both of Las Vegas, and Martin Werner of Rock Falls, Wis.; one sister, Dorothy Thielke of Westboro, Wis.; one brother, Richard Werner of Medford, Wis.; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
