Rundle to be extradited from Florida
Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002 | 9:52 a.m.
William Rundle, who is charged with killing his wife, will be extradited to Nevada Monday, Metro Police Lt. Tom Monahan said this morning.
Authorities believe Shirley Rundle was killed in her home Aug. 20.
Rundle was arrested Oct. 12 in Florida after being on the run for six weeks, police said.
He is being held in a Florida jail on federal fleeing charges, but Monahan said those charges will be dropped to allow Nevada authorities to go forward with the local murder charges.
Detectives are expected to travel to Florida to get Rundle and bring him back to Las Vegas.
A funeral for Shirley Rundle, 63, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Summerlin.
