Letter: Nevada Power only benefactor

I just threw away my mailer from the people who are against Question 14. I did it for this reason: I saw Nevada Power listed on it.

Oh, don't get me wrong, Nevada Power can back whomever it wants. So can I. And I don't back anything that would be backed by Nevada Power. And here's why:

Anything that is backed by Nevada Power is going to benefit Nevada Power. But who else is going to benefit? That's right, no one -- certainly not the customers. Nevada Power has only wanted us to pay for its mistakes. And that was to our disadvantage because we got a rate hike.

It was only when some citizens stood their ground, and said no way to anymore rate hikes and Nevada Power abuse, was there any justice.

I have faith the voters of Nevada, including myself, will make the right choice when it's time to vote. And only the voters know what's right for them.
