Murray Ray Carlis
Murray Ray Carlis, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local life care center. He was born Aug. 19, 1924, in New York City. A resident for eight years, he was a retired aerospace engineer and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Claire; one son, Jeffrey Carlis, and one daughter, Marla Carlis, both of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled noon-1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Betty L. Cooper
Betty L. Cooper, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 5, 1927, in Altadena, Calif. A resident for 16 years, she was a retired secretary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; and one son, John Francis.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Cate of Hernando, Miss., and Sandy Hauf of Henderson; one sister, Marge Ireton, and one brother, Duane Crooks, both of Salina, Kan.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave. Sunrise Cremation & Burial Society, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 5, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Make A Wish Foundation, 3111 S. Valley View Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89102.
Paz R. Echenique
Paz R. Echenique, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. He was born Jan. 24, 1925, in Jaruco, Cuba. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired kitchen porter supervisor at the Flamingo, Hilton and Sahara hotels and a veteran of the Cuban army.
He is survived by his wife, Modesta; one brother, Pablo Echenique of Havana; and one grandson.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be noon Tuesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Del Jeanne 'Jeannie Reavy' Maines
Del Jeanne "Jeannie Reavy" Maines, 66, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 10, 1936, in Riverside, Calif. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired food preparer.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas; three sons, Michael Reavy of Fallon and Bill Reavy and Tony Reavy, both of Henderson; three daughters, Anna Niebert of Carson, Wash., and Collette Bondurant and Mary Santana, both of Henderson; two sisters, Billie Martinez of Commerce, Texas, and Judy Salazar of Riverside, Calif.; one brother, Gerald Archuleta of Lake Tahoe; and 18 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will be 3 p.m. Friday in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.
David Gomez Reyes
David Gomez Reyes, 48, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A resident for 49 years, he was born Dec. 29, 1953, in Mexico.
He is survived by his wife, Amparo Jaime Hernandez; his mother, Feliza Reyes; his father, Seferino Gomez; and two brothers, Roberto Gomez Reyes and Leon Guanajuato.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Mexico. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Shirley M. Rundle
Shirley M. Rundle, 63, of Las Vegas died Aug. 20 in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 23, 1938, in the Philippines. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Magda Belen of Las Vegas; seven sisters, Norma Paz, Araceli Napicol, Alice Garcia, Rexy Besin, Jean Ching, Margie Ty and Joji Yap, and two brothers, Jimmy Mullasgo and Dexter Mullasgo, all of the Philippines; and one grandchild.
Family will receive friends from noon until a 2 p.m. Mass Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Norma Singer
Norma Singer, 60, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 29, 1942, in Chicago. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Ron; one daughter, Michelle Singer of Las Vegas; one son, Eric Singer of Grand Rapids, Mich.; her mother, Lillian Komen of Skokie, Ill.; one brother, Larry Komen of Island Park, Ill.; and one grandchild.
King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to American Fibromyalgia Syndrome Association.
