Letter: Congress shows lack of courage
Monday, Oct. 21, 2002 | 9:20 a.m.
As a combat veteran, I would like to applaud the courage of the 133 members of the U.S. House of Representatives and the 23 members of the U.S. Senate who had the courage to vote against giving the usurper president Bush dictatorial powers to wage an unjustified war against Iraq.
Consider the following facts:
How many crimes has Iraq committed against the U.S.? None.
How many of the 9-11 terrorists were from Iraq? None.
How many of the 9-11 terrorists trained in Iraq? None.
How many of Bush's oil company cronies would like to see the Iraqi government fall? Every one.
It is unfortunate that none of the Nevada delegation had the courage to vote for what is right rather than for what is politically expedient.
